We tell our families to expect a cocker spaniel the first year and a Bassett hound in year 2, with the possibility of a small Lab in three years. our females are 20 pounds now, and are 8 mos. old. they grow 2-3 years. The teacup craze is carried over to Texas and California, where you can buy a "T-Cup" pig for $1000.00.
I know someone who got theirs from "Texas Tiny Pigs" and he, Hamlet is now 18 mos. and 75 pounds. Still got some time to grow, yet. I don't think she cares though, she is in love with him, and he's adorable.

Guinea pigs need carrots, potatoes, lettuce, apples (but without the skin they can choke), it is healthy for them. the other reason they need those things is because their teeth can grow. as they grow they curve and their teeth can grow so far and puncture her upper mouth. so every day give her baby carrots they trim her teeth and always have 2-3 little wood bricks you can get them at petsmart or petco.
also when you get guinea pig food get one that has a lot of different kinds of food in it, it is alot healthier. and remember to give it fresh water every day
