to get to vermillion city you have to first beat misty and team rocket and then you go through the house with the crowd of people then u follow along the hedge and you once you've gone to where to ledges are you go all the way to the left and through the grass there is a passageway into the hidden village there u can get charmander bulbasaur and squirtle and you just follow the paths there and you will get to a beach with bills lighthouse and then you will be in vermillion city
