Global warming is a local issue because the solution has to start with us as individuals and in our communities. We need to reduce our use of electricity and motor fuel, in order to help reduce the world's carbon dioxide emissions. We can take action by, for example, replacing incandescent light bulbs with high efficiency ones, by turning off appliances when not in use and by using air conditioning and home heating more sparingly.

Global warming is an international issue because all governments must get together to identify and agree on urgent action to change to a carbon-neutral world economy. The time is past for free-riding and asking other countries to reduce their emissions "before" we do.

Pollution releases harmful gases and particles into the air, leading to increased levels of pollutants like carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, and particulate matter. These pollutants can cause respiratory problems, exacerbate existing health conditions, and contribute to smog formation, reducing air quality overall.

Human activities impact/effect our air quality. For example, we drive gasoline cars. When the gas exhaust comes out out the car, it goes into the atmosphere; the gas has ozone and maybe methane. It also has carbon. If we get too much of these chemicals into our thin atmosphere, it harms the earth first of all with global warming, and, it harms us because we have to breathe in those poisonous gases everyday. One more example is when people smoke. The smoke not only damages the smoker's lungs, but the smoke that comes out lets other people breathe it in, and we do not want poisonous air inside of us.

There are many duties and responsibilities of a pollution control officer. They need to identify areas of pollution and make environmental improvements. They also need to monitor air, land, water, and noise pollution within the area of their job scope.

Our one and only Earth is being polluted as people around the world have been carelessly acting on their own which brings about the cause of pollution. For example, one of our main pollution about the environment is Global Warming. How and why it is effected is because of us using too much electricity and things which create smoke such as cars, factories, burning fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas). This produces carbon dioxide (co2) which is then let into the air and helps keep the earth warm. This is a good thing but too much of it can be not so good for the environment. As a result of us using and letting out the co2 emissions, it overloads and creates heat as the carbon dioxide itself is like a blanket which covers the earth. As you can see here, humans are the causes to all these calamities that is happening around the Earth, globally and locally. The environment is being polluted on the condition that of people's actions towards our environment, that we are overusing our resources as our human population itself is rising.

Greenhouse gases, especially carbon dioxide (CO2) are absorbed by the ocean. This is turning the oceans acidic (carbonic acid). This damages corals (by bleaching) and makes it difficult for shellfish to grow shells that are as strong as before.

Pollution can harm ducks by contaminating their water sources and food supply, leading to health problems and reduced reproductive success. Organic farming practices typically minimize the use of synthetic chemicals and heavy metal-containing fertilizers, reducing the risk of contamination.

"Climate change" emerged as a broader term in the 1970s to encompass not only warming but also other impacts like rising sea levels, extreme weather events, and shifts in ecosystems.

When we stop burning fossil fuels to generate electricity, but instead use renewable sources of energy like solar, hydro, wind, wave, tidal, geothermal and biofuel then there will be far fewer greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere.

when hydro electricity is said as a cleaner source of energy it means that it is "cleaner" that some other source of energy. example: hydro electric power is cleaner that petroleum since burning of petroleum produces harmful gases but not in case of hydroelectricity

the pollution caused by hydroelectricity is the ecological imbalance . to produce hydro electricity dams are constructed. for construction the forest nearby is cleared and therefore causes soil erosions and other related problems. it causes ecological imbalance because when water from rivers are stored in dams it causes water shortage in rivers and affect marine organisms.

There are many factors which control the soil pollution. It includes the limited use of fertilizers and pesticides. The biological control method must be known and implemented. The grazing must be controlled and forest management should be done properly. The afforestation and reforestation must be done. In areas of wind erosion wind breaks and shields must be used. The soil binding grass must be planted and the large trees must be placed along the banks. The industrial wastes must be dumped in the low lying areas. There is a definite technique of cropping which does not allow the weeds to settle on the fields. The mining ways must be improved along with their transportation. The area must not be left barren and dry
