Disconnect battery, go for coffee or have a cigarette or some other acceptable activity for 5 minutes.

Check to see if the battery is disconnected! (if the air bag goes off it could kill you so this is important!)

There are screws on the back of the steering wheel that may be a little difficult to get to but turning the wheel will do it.

im not sure that the 2000+ have petcock's. i couldnt find one on my 99 grand am. i was told if i couldnt find it, it probably wasent there and i should just take off the lower radiator hose to do the flush. i could be wrong though they may have them. hope this helps!

The proper plug is an Iridium plug, gapped at .060".

First things first. There are no "Big or Small" block Pontiac's. They all share a common design and general dimensions from the 265 all the way up to the 455. The exception is the 265 and 301, which are short deck. 350-400 cu. inch. engines have a 3.00" main where the 421-455 engines have a 3.25" main.

On to your block. The 9799914 is was a 400 cubic inch block that was cast in 1970. The 1970 Ram Air III used this block with 4-bolt main caps. Everything else got the block without the 4-bolt main caps, but were drilled for them. Your application code stamped on the right front of the block near the timing cover will narrow it down for you.

It can be very common but should still be checked out. Tell the mechanics to fix the repercuptic bolt in the inside of the wheel, as this is likely the problem.

If I recall, a g6 has disc brakes front and rear, and are largely identical to the disc brake systems on most other cars, except for one thing; the rear g6 calipers cannot be compressed manually to fit in the new pads. A special tool is required to compress them. If you don't have that tool, you can't compress the caliper piston. If you can't compress that caliper piston, you can't fit in the new pads. Ask at an auto-parts store for a "Disk Brake Caliper Tool" set. Should be less than 30.00usd depending on the brand they carry.

Note: The g6 *front* brake caliper pistons compress manually, no special tools needed.
