It could be because you have ovarian cysts, I have PCOS and some times before my period I get cramps and when i do it puts pressure on my ovaries and the cyst that are on them. I have quite a few cysts and it causes them to rupture. Most of what I've read indicates that the test may either be: 1. Defective; 2. Was used incorrectly, such as not peeing on it long enough or too long, not holding in downward position etc.; 3. wasn't placed on a flat surface for results to appear. Don't worry, just try again with another test, maybe a different brand, the next day. I always buy a 3 pk when I think I'm pregnant, just in case of situations like these.
