You've never heard of her because the DiLaurentis's don't want to ruin their reputation. So they don't speak of her like she's not apart of the family. So after Alison got sent to Radley as Courtney, Courtney pretended to be Alison. After that, you know she became friends with Aria, Hanna, Spencer, & Emily. She only acted so cruel, secretive, mysterious, & wierd because she was mental. So after Alison got out of Radley she sent "-A" messeges to Courtney as revenge plus she was very angry that she was sent to Radley when she wasn't suppose to. Afterwards, she killed Courtney who everyone thought was Alison. And, now she is torturing Hanna, Spencer, Aria, Emily. I don't know why though. I think being in Radley made her mentally ill. I guess we'll have to find out why.
There are 2 redcoats , in season 1 when you saw a hand come up from the ground it was alison's hand and the old house mother from the college spencer and emily went to was the one pulling her hand so alison is alive and is one of the red coats she's good. The other red coat was cece but she is bad but she might had jost got paid to pose as the other red coat but aria battled cece and cee fell of the tower and was hurtbut ecscaped . hope this helped

the last 10 minutes the red coat was revealed to be Ally, but we might not know for sure its Ally because they only showed her for like 5 seconds and in the scene where the girls are in the car with Mona, Mona said red coat was wearing a mask so i have know idea it could be either Ally or Courtney her twin sister in the books.

Well in the book, Mona is a, but ik that in the tv show, they don't hav Mona as a, I'm pretty sure... But in the book, Hannah loses her memory when she gets hit, so she never got the chance to tell the girls who a was, but she finally remembers and tells the girls it's Mona but Spencer wasn't with them when she remembered Spencer was in the car with Mona so the girls txt Spencer and while in the car Spencer tries to call the cops and Mona catches her so she pulls over and offers Spencer a deal. She sed that if Spencer keeps it to herself, then se will make her popular, but Spencer declines and the fight and Mona tries to push Spencer off the cliff and the both fall and Spencer lands on grass but Mona lands on a rock and ends up breaking her neck. But I'm pretty sure the tv series isn't really following the book that much.. Hope that helped!!
