After Prince William dies who will follow?

It is hoped that sometime in the not-too-distant future Prince William of Wales will have children. In the meantime, Prince William will eventually become king. After he dies, one of his children will succeed him. According to current law, the sovereign's oldest son has the right to become king. If he dies before fathering a child, the throne will pass to his brother, Prince Harry.

Who knows? Perhaps one day Prince William will have a daughter, whom he will name Diana after his mother. And perhaps this Diana might one day inherit the throne, and become queen.

Yes they can, but only if the current monarch allows it. Considering Queen Elizabeth is the head of the Anglican church and she allowed his mother and father to do so, anything is possible.

Prince Harry is currently an officer in the British army. He has also set up his own charity with The Prince of Lesotho which helps HIV/AIDS orphans and he is heavily involved with many other charities many of which were founded by his mum, Princess Diana. Now that he is in his twenties he has also started attending events and ceremonies too. Prince Harry is very busy and is a real credit to Britain despite having to go through so many traumas such as the death of his mother.

Would William's child become monarch over harry?

Yes. The line of descent from Elizabeth II is to her eldest son, Charles ,then to his eldest son, William and to his eldest son. If William has daughters only then the crown would pass to his eldest daughter. If he has a daughter and then a son, under present UK law the crown would pass to his son.

The crown would only pass to Harry if William died childless or abdicated. If Charles abdicates the crown would pass to his brother Andrew, Duke of York and William would not inherit. If Queen Elizabeth II were to abdicate the crown would pass to Viscount Linley, eldest son of her late sister, Princess Margaret.

What did William say to Kate at the wedding?

'I, Catherine Elizabeth do take thee, William Arthur Philip Louis, to be my lawful wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward,.........'. Whereupon, she ceased to be 'Kate'. She became Her Royal Highness, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. To continue to call her 'Kate', as is commonly done, is akin to continuing to call the former Princess of Wales 'Lady Di'. That is an illiteracy and lack of understanding that reportedly infuriates the Duchess of Cambridge, just as it infuriated Diana, Princess of Wales.
