pseudoephedrine is a chemical in most all cold medications. It is also used in making meth. Due to the meth makers purchasing for meth mixtures, pseudoephedrine is now a controlled substance and all cold medication sales are monitored.

im on seroquel 800, lamictal 50mg andfour tabs of sudafed for undiagnosed (but doctor says i have it) add,,,, sudafed works wonders in the morn when i have school bright and early. So far no problem just all happiness! nothing succeeds like excess!

It is probably not a good idea, since theraflu typically contains another decongestant known as "phenylephrine." Combining the two decongestants could have harmful effects on blood pressure since they both constrict blood vessels.

I wouldn't take sudafed with theraflu. I would opt to go with either sudafed and Tylenol if a pain reliever therapy is preferred, or just taking theraflu.

Ive found phenylephrine to be a pretty effective decongestant, especially in the theraflu formulation

It all depends on the main ingredient in the Sudafed you are purchasing. The regular Sudafed which contains pseudoephdrine is safe to take with Dayquil. The Sudafed PE, which is now being sold can not be taken with Dayquil since Dayquil contains the same decongestant, phenylephrine as Sudafed PE.

Lortab is a combination of hydrocodone and acetaminophen. Motrin is ibuprofen. While they are sometimes prescribed together, it is better to 'stagger' the pills by alternating Lortab and Motrin.
