What grain should rabbits eat?
I was unable to locate a list of flowers clearly identified as being safe for rabbits. However, there are several studies of what sorts of flowers wild rabbits tend to raid out of gardens the most, and one assumes wild rabbits know what's good for them and what isn't. So the following is a list of several types of common flowers that should be safe for rabbits:
Baby's Breath, Black-eyed Susan, Clematis, Clover, Cockscomb, Coneflower, Coral Bells, Cosmos, Crabapple, Forsythias, Hawthorn, Impatiens, Lilac, Morning Glory, Oriental Poppy, Pansy, Petunia, Phlox, Plantain Lily, Roses, Snapdragon, Sunflower, Verbena, Vervain, and Zinnias. Of course, any gardener can tell you that rabbits dearly love the flowers from just about any vegetable that produces one, as well as the bulbs of such things as tulips and crocus.
That being said, rabbits are built to eat grass, and only supplement their diet in the wild with leaves, vegetables, bark, flowers, etc., when available or they are particularly hungry. Flowers are very high in sugars and should only be given as the occasional treat. And some may be downright poisonous, so if in doubt, best not to give it to bunny at all.
The flowers of these plants are listed as safe for rabbits on the MediRabbit website: apple, mustard, basil, borage, burnet, calendula (pot marigold), camomile, clover, coriander (cilantro), dandelion, day lily, dill, daisy, fennel, gladiolus, hyssop, jasmine, wild pansy, lavender, rose, rosemary, sage, sunflower, thyme, great plantain.
Warning: Some of the flowers listed above are considered poisonous for rabbits by the House Rabbit Society, including: calendula, clematis, daisy, gladiolus, impatiens, morning glory, snapdragon, wild jasmine.
See the links below for details.
How much do dwarf rabbits cost at the pet store?
It entirely depends on the store, try contacting your local pet stores, and evaluate their rabbits before buying one.
Do rabbits live in pine forests?
No, they prefer to live in open spaces, like meadows, mountains and open fields as they can graze, and see predators coming etc. Pine forests are usually dark and thus not much grass grows on its floors, but if you see a rabbit in a forest it is more likely a deciduous forest.
These woods are safe for pet rabbits to chew on and eat:
Do not give your rabbit any wood from trees that bear stone fruits (like cherries, peaches, plums). Do not give your rabbit any cedar, or fresh pine. These woods are not safe for rabbits.
Can you put your bunny in the snow?
Mini lops, like all pet rabbits, can play in the snow, but there are risks involved, especially with house rabbits. The information below applies to all rabbits, including mini lops.
House rabbits are not acclimatized to the cold, so they shouldn't stay out in the snow very long, and they should be allowed to go back inside freely or to seek shelter somewhere -- otherwise, how can you know that they've had enough? A 10 or 20 minute run through the snow should be fine. When the rabbit is back inside, dry it off as much as possible and then keep it in a warm area away from any drafts until it's completely dry and warmed up.
Do not let your rabbit eat snow. Rabbits used to the snow (outdoor rabbits) know not to eat it, but house rabbits don't always know better. Eating snow leads to illness in all animals, especially rabbits because their bodies are so small.
Outdoor rabbits can be in the snow so long as they always have free access to a protected, warm shelter where they can go to warm up when they get too cold. Make sure the rabbit's water source doesn't freeze -- check a few times a day. Dehydration is very bad for rabbits; and if the rabbit doesn't have water, it might eat snow which is very dangerous.
How big do mini lionhead rabbits grow?

Yes, hares have fur. Their fur is generally longer and coarser than rabbits, helping them adapt to their habitats and stay warm in cold climates. Hares also molt and change the color of their fur to blend in with their surroundings during different seasons.
How do you know if your bunnies teeth are too long?
If your rabbits teeth are overgrown, it will need to be taken to a veterinarian to have it's teeth clipped. Do not attempt to do this yourself, as it can cause serious damage without the proper tools and training.
In the wild a guinea pig will run and hide from predators. They will go underground to hide from them. They stay low to the ground to keep Birds of Prey from getting them.

--------------
FORTUNATELY, you were not around when my kids were 5 & 6 yrs.old and we found a small toad in the back yard . we feed our dog, hard dog food in a dish on the front porch, and it didn't take long for a very large toad to use it as his feeding station. He would sit by the dish and wait for the food each night. (UGG) anyway, mummy said, " let's take the baby toad out to his mommy." we put the small toad down about 8" away from the large toad, and BLAP!! The baby toad was dessert ! My kids, now in their 40's still have that image in their minds.
In some places rabbits are regarded as pests what does this mean?
Wild rabbits eat plants, including those that people are trying to grow.
Can you hold a wild baby bunny?
yes because they don't bite but only hold them if they need help because they don't like to be touched and they could die of shock by being touched by a human. they don't have scent so you can put it back in the nest if it falls or walks or has been taken out of it. The only way to tell if the nest has been abandoned is to lay 2 sticks in an "x" position and check the next day to see if it has been disturbed. The mother only comes once to feed everyday so that it doesn't draw predators. If you can't find the nest than you might have to take it in unless it knows where it is because the mother will most likely call them back to safety so in all please don't disturb the bunnies nest...
Rabbits will chew on various objects to keep their gnawing teeth short. If the teeth are long, the rabbit will have difficulty eating food and this will lead to serious health problems. If your pet rabbit has long teeth, bring it to the vet to get it clipped.
Rabbits or bunnies chew things to either grind their teeth or to get your attention when they make noise if you have one for a pet.
Why will your rabbit eat anything?
Rabbits have a sweet tooth and they'll usually chose sugary fruits and vegetables over other foods. Too much fruit can lead to many different kinds of sicknesses in rabbits, so you shouldn't indulge your rabbit's sweet tooth.
Rabbits need a diet high in fibre; low in protein, sugar, and carbs; and with the right mix of nutrients and vitamins.
The best thing for rabbits is hay. One problem with letting your rabbit eat too much fruit is she'll "spoil" her appetite for hay, but rabbits need to eat lots of hay every day to wear down their teeth and keep their digestive system moving.
Rabbit pellets and fresh leafy greens are other good things for your rabbit to eat every day. Other vegetables and fruits should be limited: a good guideline is up to 1 or 2 tablespoons per day for a normal, healthy 6 pound rabbit.
If you've been giving your rabbit too much fruit:your rabbit may be ignoring her other food because she's full up from the fruit. Start decreasing the daily portions and introduce a more balanced diet. Changes in diet should be done gradually, bit by bit, because a sudden change can make a rabbit sick.
If your rabbit isn't eating, except for the small amounts of fruit you give: your rabbit needs to see the vet as soon as possible. See the related question below for more help. Selective eating in rabbits is often the sign of a mouth problem (like overgrown teeth, or an abscess in the mouth or throat). Selective eating is very dangerous in rabbits and if left untreated it can lead to other serious health problems (like G.I. stasis, which is life-threatening).
