Where is radio personality Madison Lane now?

User Avatar

Asked by Elaineinnc

They didn't "get rid" of her. After she had her daughter she "chose" to make the transition to the lighter side and hosted the morning show on 93.9. There was some issues between her and Bob and it was better for her, much more her speed. Then Clear Channel decided not to renew her contract so she is no longer with Raleigh radio.

How many days vacation does Howard Stern take each year?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

He takes 10 weeks vacation each year, On the other 42 weeks of work he has off every Friday, so to answer your question he has 92 vacation days a year.

He works a total of 168 days in a year. Of those the most he works now is a little less than 5 hours a day.

Now if you add all that up he will work approximately 4200 hours in his 5 year contract which was worth $500,000,000,plus he already received a $83,000,000 bonus. So he is working for the paltry sum of $138,809 an hour. It's a wonder he can make ends meet.

What is the most popular radio station in Arizona?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

This is a difficult question to answer because the popularity of radio stations is surveyed based on "markets"-- also called cities (and their surrounding areas). So, the Phoenix market has its own ratings, as does the Tucson market, and other large and medium sized cities in the state. There is no one station that is the most popular station for the entire state.

That said, Phoenix is the largest market in Arizona, and in early 2012, KOOL-FM was number one in the Arbitron ratings (classic hits). And in the second largest market, Tucson, the number one station was KIIM-FM (country). It should also be noted that certain stations, while they may not be number one in the over all ratings for their market, score very well with certain age groups. Thus, a city may have a very popular station that is all-sports, or all-talk or plays music for a particular ethnic minority group. In Phoenix, for example, KFYI is an AM station which broadcasts news and conservative talk; like many stations with this format, it has a very loyal audience and is very popular with older listeners. And similarly, KHOT-FM is a station that broadcasts Spanish-language music and news especially for Mexican-Americans; it too has a loyal audience of people who tune in specifically for the kind of programming it provides.

Who is the oldest DJ still working?

User Avatar

Asked by Karenjunger

There are plenty of old radio DJ's but we assume the question is targeted at Club DJ's.

Ruth Flowers is 69. She is from England, but she also plays in many other European countries.

Her motto is "I'd rather sign a contract with a record company than to sign up for the nursing home!"

DJ Joe (now entering his mid-60s) is perhaps the only disc jockey in Harare (Zimbabwe) who can rightly claim the ability to keep a group of people made up of mixed age groups from toddlers to senior citizens occupied for several hours, without a single one of them evincing a sign of boredom.

DJ B Roger at 49 years old is one of the oldest DJ's still playing the clubs in the U.S. He has been working professionally for 34 years since starting in radio in 1977 at KVOG and KZAN in Utah. Roger worked the Mc Fadden Ventures nightclub chain in the "80's opening the Confetti clubs in OKC, San Diego, Ft Lauderdale and R&R USA flagship in Columbus Ohio. He hosted American Bandstand for Dick Clark's AB Grill in the 90's and now works exclusive private parties and select club appearances.
