Well I have a 2005 and the cruise control is on the steering wheel push the button in (towards the center of the steering wheel) at the top of the top of the switch. then push the top side down to set the speed that you want it at. push the switch up or down to control the speed without the gas and brake. Hope that answers the question.

On a more serious note , it all depends on the individual driver, and individual vehicle.
