I used all of the creams and pills from my doctor for a month, and nothing worked and it spread terribly all over my back and chest. I started day 1 with a 50-50 bleach solution being careful not to cover more area than necessary (it will sting), and washed it off after 5 min. I then went to a 6-1 bleach and water mix with lotrimin spray after my skin dried for four more days twice a day (also stings). This killed the infection in it's tracks. In as little as 5 days you will notice any severe cases shrink and any small cases go back to normal skin; it is recommended you use the acetone & cream trick only while the redness is visible then switch to just the post treatment of ringworm cream. A more effective method is to shower, perform this mix trick then wait. As a nice wrap up, put clear top coat nail polish on, and wear it until your next shower. You will see the ringworm fade a lot faster and it will not spread as fast.

Interesting that you ask this. I have searched for years to answers about why my bowel movements smell like mothballs.
