It did seem to have links with juvenile delinquency in the 1950's as well, and many parents now still argue that rock and roll promotes rebellion, lust and sex, violence and aggression, drug usage, and blurs lines between the sacred and the secular. Let's also not forget the payola scandal of the 1960's.
