Left hand side of gearbox. You can get at it by turning the steering wheel full lock, and reaching in behind the back of the left hand front wheel. A squirt or two of contact cleaner/wd40 etc in the connectors should get it going again, or you'll need a 19mm spanner if you need to replace it. It's a 2 minute job, which makes a pleasant change :)

The code is kept on file with MG Rover and an MG Rover dealer should be able to access it on the 'DISCUS' computer. They may charge you for this and ask for proof of ownership.

There are also websites that will provide you with the code if you give them the serial number from the side of the unit.

Have you checked all the handbooks? You are looking for a 4 digit code...

Its in housing where the bottom radiator hose connects.

The clutch cable has proabably broken.

Each car has a different code. You will have to bring your Rover's chassis no to a Rover or ex Rover dealership and they will supply the code for £20. That's what I was charged anyway!

To remove the interior door panel of a Rover 214 SLI 5-door hatchback, start by carefully prying off any trim pieces or covers that hide screws, typically located near the door handle and armrest. Remove the screws using a screwdriver, then gently lift the door panel away from the door frame, being cautious of any clips that may hold it in place. Disconnect any electrical connectors, such as those for window switches, before fully detaching the panel. Finally, lift the panel upwards to free it from the top edge and set it aside.

The rover Spirit had a top speed of around 2 inches (5 centimeters) per second, which is roughly 0.1 miles per hour (0.16 kilometers per hour).

I have the same thing with my 220Gsi..

It seems it has nothing to do with the handbrake though.

I suspect it has to do with the level of your steering fluid.

If you are absolutely, positively sure that your coolant level is not low......then your heater core could be plugged. Or the control that turns the coolant flow on/off to the heater isn't working. Make sure the control is working, the flush the radiator. Should cure the problem.

I note the relay (part No NCL100040) is called an "ignition and glow plug heater relay". The 75 will usually start if you turn the key before the glow plugs have heated, therefore the glow plugs are probably only needed for cold starts. Glow plugs are not needed when a diesel engine is hot. The "ignition" reference may mean that some other circuit is controlled by this relay (obviously there is no conventional ignition as it is a diesel). FYI The part is also used on the Range Rover TD6 post 2002 An internet search suggest the cam sensor can cause starting problems and fault codes similar to a faulty glow plug relay.

highly unlikley that they will pack up at the same time, check the fuses, also failing that check your earth connections

I don't have a rover 400, but...

I had a similar issue with a 1984 Ford Escort a little over 10 years ago that turned out to be some module attached to the side of the distributor. It cost me about $35 and was very easy to remove and replace. I can't recall what the module was called, but I know it wasn't a voltage regulator, or the coil.

If you can, add some more information about the vehicle and a better answer could probably be provided.

on the bulk head just above / behind the brake pedal. Should be a white plastic switch with two wires coming out the bottom

Any major brand that meets the specifications outlined in your owners manual. Use the weight listed there.

Re: Rover 75, 2.0v6 petrol engine. The manufacturer states the belt(s) (there are 3 of them) should be changed at either 6 years or 90,000 mile interval (whichever is sooner). Quote for job from ex Rover dealership in Northumberland is £473 complete (inclusive of parts, 7 hours abour and vat).

If you look at the coil mount bracket, they are numbered (indented in the metal are the numbers) I know left starts with 2 and the right side is #1. Take some chalk and rub the bracket and you will see #s easier.

My wife and I discovered The Irish Rover as we drove down the pub and restaurant packed section of Frankfort Avenue during a weekend visit to Kentucky's largest city and culinary capital. We fell in love with the Irish pub culture over our many visits to Boston and Cape Cod. We wondered how an Irish pub in our home state would stack up against our beloved pubs in New England. I figured, as long as they had Guinness on tap, it couldn't be too bad.We were pleasantly surprised to find not only did they have Guinness on tap but also Bell's Two Hearted Ale, one of my all time favorite beers. The conundrum of whether to order Guinness or the Bell's was solved when I cleverly decided to have the Bell's with our dinner and a nice glass of the black stuff for dessert.The pub atmosphere is about as good as it gets as far as an Irish pub is concerned. The pub and restaurant occupies the bottom floor of a 150 year old brick building. The bar area is spartan in a good way, and the restaurant is also minimalist with lace curtains for adornment. I told my wife it seemed so authentic there had to be a real Irishman running the show. As it turned out, there's an Irish man and woman running the show that go by the names Siobhan and Michael Reidy. The menu turned out to be a greatest hits list of Ireland's culinary history. Fish and chips, smokes salmon, Guinness beef stew and salmon potato puffs sounded just the right tone for the place we were in both physically and metaphorically. I settled on the bangers and mash that turned out wonderfully. The sausages were packed with smoky flavor and the mashed potatoes would make any resident of the emerald isle proud. My wife ended up with the fish and chips. She said the cod was light and fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside and the chips were the same. We also shared some the crab cakes from the starter menu that were as good as any I've ever had with the possible exception of Cape Cod.
