For a free dark bow you need 90 slayer. If you have 90 slayer, you will have to kill Dark Beasts. Where can you find Dark Beast? You can find them on the road to Temple of Light (requires Mourning's Ends Part II). You can also find them in Kuradel's Dungeon. In order to kill them in Kuradel's Dungeon you need to have those Dark Beasts as your slayer task. The drop rate for a dark bow is about 1/250 kills.
As for Abyssal whip you need 85 slayer. After you have 85 slayer you want to kill Abyssal demons. There are a few places you can find Abyssal demons:
-1: Slayer tower in Morytania
-2: Kuradel's Dungeon (you need Abyssal demons as your slayer task in order to kill them)
-3: Abyss area (Fairy ring code A-L-R)
The drop rate for a whip is estimated 1/400 kills.

Well you could either buy it from the garden seller person right past the mountain in taverly at that fishing place,or when you rake out the weeds from the areas use the weeds on htat little basket thing. Keep doing this until the option appears that allows you to close it. then you wait and in a long time open it and scoop compost out with bucket. Looooooooooong explaination...or you could just go to the G.E. (Grand Exchange) and buy some compost

There are no hill giants actually in Varrock, the closest hill giants to Varrock would be the ones in Edgevil Dungeon, just head to edgevil which is north of barbarian village and go down the ladder with the '!' icon on the mini map, follow the dungeon right to the end passing all of the skelitons and zombies until you reach the hill giants.
Note.
There is a key loacated between the hobgoblins and the hill giants, if you take this key you can take the ladder which is right next to the hill giants and enter through there (so long as you have the key), it leads to near the cooking guild.
