Only if your in elementary school. If your uncomfortable with a dress you have and feel its too short then don't wear it. i dont think you should wear shorts under a dress once you hit a certain age.

I think you should look that up maybe in a high school book that you get from visiting that highschool retreat and it should show how many highschools are in minnesota and if your lucky they would proably put the names of them and all the details of how many kids there are in that high school teacher to student ratio and many other key details needed to determine which high school is the right choice for you . I absolutely love school uniforms. It makes it easier in the morning to know what your wearing. It establishes equality in school. When on a field trip getting lost usually isn't an issue and you look cool. Pretty much everything about uniforms I love. Not to mention my supplier makes the best quality uniforms in Canada. Their uniforms are extremely durable and can last years yet they are soft and comfortable. My cousin wore a pair of uniforms and when he out grew them he gave them to his brother. It was still is such good shape that he though they were new each time.

If jobs are done first then yes it should be compulsory.

To make your school uniform look better, you should try to do little things which aren't obvious, but make a difference. For e.g. if your skirt needs to be below your knee, wear it a little shorter so it looks like it actually fits you. Make sure your blazer isn't boxy. If it is, then open all the buttons to make it look more casual. If your blazer fits you fine, only do the middle button; doing all of them will make the blazer look boxy anyway. If you are allowed, wear a jumper. This gives you the excuse of not wearing your blazer because you are feeling 'warm' (if your school isn't too strict) Roll up your blouse sleeves. Make sure your school bag and shoes compliment each other.

Accesorize: This is key in making your uniform look fab. Wear small necklaces, plain rings, small stud earrings and wristbands as well as a cool watch. Wear makeup which is natural eg. a small amount of foundation which matches your skintone, some blusher, brown eyeliner(on your waterline only), mascara and finally a clear, natural or nude coloured lipgloss.
