Um...I'm fairly sure that the Taliban had nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks, or if they did it was a very small...or very large but unknown...part they played.

The 9/11 attacks were primarily orchestrated by Al Qaeda and its leader, namely Osama Bin Laden. The attacks were designed to place America in a state of fear and disarray, the targets having been selected according to their value to the American populace.

The World Trade Center was one of the "crown jewels" of present-day America, one of the busiest and successful facilities of its kind in the world. By destroying them, Al Qaeda struck terror into the hearts of the New Yorkers, dealt blows to countless families and businesses, and also disadvantaged the economy.

The Pentagon was a target for obvious reasons: For one, it's the main base of operations for all of America's major Defence programs and forces. Two, it contained huge amounts of valuable data, resources and of course, people, much of which Al Qaeda presumably hoped would be destroyed.

Finally, Washington D.C. was also an original target, presumably due to its political importance. However, due to the incredible bravery and determination of the passengers aboard the rogue plane United Airlines 93, the terrorists hijacking the commercial aircraft lost control and crashed in Pennsylvania. All people on board were killed.

The 9/11 attacks were a tremendous flurry of blows that struck to the core of the USA...but it is generally not thought that the Taliban had much to do with it all. Some conspiracy theorists speculate otherwise, but until evidence is found...or acquired...we can never be quite sure.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM), a Pakistani, was the chief architect and mastermind behind the September 11 terrorist attacks. The chief financier of the attacks was Osama Bin Laden, a Saudi.

KSM was captured by the Pakistani intelligence service in 2003, and is awaiting trial for the September 11 terror attacks, as well as other terror attacks and plots.

All four planes were hijacked in U.S airspace. American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175 hit both towers of the World Trade Center withn 15 minutes between each other. American Airlines Flight 77 hit the Pentagon in Washington D.C and United Airlines Flight 93 which was going to the Capitol was taken over by the passengers and crashed into an empty field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

Twin Towers is a 2021 recent biographic nonfictional disaster drama film directed by James Cameron and based on the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks.The film stars Conner Lyons as Will Jimeno Jennette McCurdy as Allison Jimeno,Michael Benson as John McLoughlin,Carly Wilson as Donna McLoughlin,and Ryan Szyska as Dave Karnes.The film is almost similar to 2006's World Trade Center except with a different main character.The film was shot in Hollywood,Los Angeles,California from December 31,2020-April 4,2021 and released on October 25,2021.

Plot

On September 11,2001,rookie Port Authority police officer Will Jimeno (played by Conner Lyons) assembles along with sergeant officer John McLoughlin (played by Michael Benson) to patrol at the northern entrance of the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown Manhattan and they suddenly see a plane fly dangerously low overhead.As they return to the station with all of the police officers,they take a glimpse at the TV,and find that the North Tower of the World Trade Center has been hit by a plane.Sergeant McLoughlin and Inspector Fields (played by Richard Head) walk in on the officers looking at the downtown situation on CNN on television and assign many of the officers to assist in an evacuation attempt of the (still undamaged) South Tower,and some of the policemen,with Jimeno riding at the back with them and McLoughlin driving at the front next to Fields,board a Commandeered Metropolitan Transit Authority bus downtown to the World Trade Center.On the bus,they hear reports that the South Tower has also been hit.

When they arrive at the site of the World Trade Center,they realize the terrorist-related extent of the disaster and see one of the first victims to jump out of the towers to certain death.As Jimeno drops off the police equipment in 5 World Trade Center,the officers proceed to grab equipment and enter the concourse between the towers.The group then consists on a team of Jimeno,McLoughlin,Dominick Pezzulo (played by Kyle Makentyre) and Antonio Rodrigues (played by Ben Oliver).Officer Chris Amoroso (played by Jake Gyllenhaal) then informs them of other events,such as the attack on the Pentagon and the second plane's attack on the South Tower.Along with these stories,he accidentally mentions that Israel is gone but the men do not accept this.As the men prepare to enter the North Tower,the buildings begin to rumble.Jimeno and McLoughlin realize that the South Tower is collapsing onto them and the other men and McLoughlin realizes that their only chance of survival is to run into the service elevator shaft.Amoroso trips and does not know how to get up.Rodrigues does not know how to get to the shaft on time.Jimeno,McLoughlin and Pezzulo manage to escape the huge amounts of dust and rubble flying down from the South Tower.However,as the rubble continues to crush the elevator shaft,the three are trapped.

As the cascade of debris subsides,Pezzulo manages to free himself and also manages to move nearer to Jimeno who,along with McLoughlin,is pinned under rubble and cannot move.Pezzulo tries but fails to shift debris from Jimeno's legs and is told by McLoughlin not to leave.As Pezzulo becomes optimistic that they will live,the rumbling begins again as the North Tower starts to collapse as well.Although Jimeno and McLoughlin aren't further harmed,Pezzulo is fatally wounded.As Pezzulo fires a single shot with a gun in a gap in the rubble to alert rescuers to their position,he dies.

Jimeno and McLoughlin spend hours under the rubble,in pain but exchanging personal information.As McLoughlin becomes particularly anxious to keep Jimeno from falling asleep,Jimeno realizes that by straining to grab a metal bar above his body,he can make a noise that rescuers might hear.Two United States Marine Corps,Dave Karnes (played by Ryan Szyska) and Jason Thomas (played by Robert McKean),two military emergency workers working in the rubble to search for left-over survivors,do hear it and find the men,calling for help to dig them out.
