The value depends on the condition of the gun. The price can be anywhere from 50 dollars to 150 dollars.

powerful is a subjective term, and depends on several factors. Generally speaking, shotguns are much more powerful than handguns, having both (normally) 2 or 3 times the muzzle energy of a handgun.

I have been serching for information about Chicago arms model "a" 12ga pump, or the company and there is not to much information out there on the subjects. my weapon has a star before and after *Chicago arms * and is excelent working condition I still use it for hunting. I found one other person than you that as such a weapon and he is in Canada. Although you may be that person I don't know. But if you find out anything I would like to know so I can follow through with my research. Thank you.

It is probably from Russian fatory that now is associated with Baikal, which was not really a precisely designed nor manufactured gun but very solid and reasonably accurate. And it was expensive, that was the old form of gun control in USSR.

Now Baikal is made all over the world and the quality is so varied, I can only recommend you avoid them.

Your gun was possibly made in old Russia. It's mostly a reliable gun, like they say, a potato this year is a potato next year, and Russians will always eat potatoes. The serial numbers are not as searchable as they are here. Depending on when it was made, you may never know that, it might be suitable for modern loads and might not.

If you have scrolling and detailing, especially around the reciever screws, hash marks on the screw head, and little traingles around the outside of the screw, like the sun on a box of Raisin Bran, and if the screw heads are absolutely flat to the surface of the receiver, like it is one surface, it was a premium and sold for a lot more but was no more reliable or precise than the farmers models.

There should be a serial number under the fore-end, you have to take it off and one on the bottom metal work. They probably won't match.

If it is really USSR gun, there aren't enough old guns around to have a market price. Keep it, you may never see one again.

on average a blued steel 606 in excellent condition runs around 3 bills, a stainless 606 is about 50 dollars more , I just bought one for 400 that was new in the box. They are great little big guns...

New they're 275-300...used I'd pay maybe about $200 depending on condition

The value of a 12 gauge NR Davis and Son single shot shotgun actually depends on a couple different things. The condition and age of the shotgun would be highly important in determining the value.

I paid $80 for one in good condition.

The value of a 28 gauge side by side Zabala depends on the exact year it was made and its condition. Models of this gun in excellent condition are valued between 125.00 and 200.00 as of 2014.

The value of a Miroku model BC3000 12 gauge under and over shotgun would depend on a couple different factors. Most important of these factors would be the condition.

If you mean the two barrels are separating from each other, then the solder joining them has failed. A good gunsmith can repair this. If you mean the barrels are "unraveling" then you must have an old twist-steel barrel that has been over-stressed and it cannot be repaired.

To cock a semi automatic shotgun simply insert the round you wish to use and pull the slide back then take the safety off and fire.

First, verify that the rifle in unloaded by checking the chamber, breach face and magazine.

Next remove the barrel/action from the stock by unscrewing the knurled nut on the bottom of the stock. On the similar model 600 Cooey a slotted screw was used instead of the knurled nut.

On the bottom of the action there is a threaded rod with a nut on it. Using the proper size wrench loosen this nut and unscrew the threaded rod until the tube magazine drops down enough to disengage from the bottom of the rifles bolt. pull the bolt to the rear (it will go back further than normal at this point) and then pull the trigger and keep it to the rear while withdrawing the bolt from the rifle.

Reassembly is the reverse of the above, taking care not to screw the threaded rod in too far or it will keep the tube magazine from moving back and forth as it should.

There were model 1887 lever action shotguns made by Winchester ( I have a 12 ga). These are worth in the range of $1200 to $5000 depending on condition. I am not aware of any Model 1886 Winchesters in a shotgun.
