What is a good shotgun for a beginner?

actually no shotgun is good for a beginner. the shotgun has loads of power in it and would scare the living hell out of anyone who hasn't even used a handgun. buy a small gun first and start to get used to the sound and power because a shotgun is 10x that. take my advice and after you think your ready go out and see whatever shotgun u like the most have fun and be safe. peace out.

What type of shotgun should i buy for shooting clays trap and double clays and game birds?

This is a difficult question - ask 10 people and you'll get 10 answers. For clay trap and double clays, it's hard to beat a quality over and under or a side by side 12 guage. For upland game birds, a solid pump or semi automatic from any number of manufacturers will work. If your budget allows only one shotgun, a 12 guage semi-auto that shoots a 2 3/4 shell will work for clays and most game birds. My personal preference is for the Remington 1100. They have been around for years and replacement parts are easy to find.

Is there a manual that tells you what your Shotgun is worth?

If you have a semi-new shotgun, you can pickup the gun buyers guide from borders or a local book store. If your talking an antique shotgun, then they may have books for that, but I have not looked into it before.

What does the trident logo of beretta means?

it is a veiled reference to the holy trinity, but as most symbols go, it has other meanings as well, also relating to their early works of building cross bows for what i've heard was the vatican's privatized armies.

^ This answer is completely incorrect. The logo was designed by poet Gabriele D'Annunzio and it symbolizes the three shots fired by a ship encountering a possible enemy (two warning shots, in front and behind the ship, and a third shot, on target, to sink the ship).

The logo was dubbed "Dare in Brocca", a poetic way to mean "Hitting the Target".

The Beretta family member at the helm of the company at the time saw the logo and asked D'Annunzio if he could borrow it. D'Annunzio agreed and the logo was established from that point on.
