That sounds very much like a subcontracted "house brand" to me, and it's kind of hard to know specifically which company had the contract, but it you were to guess either "Harrington and Richards" or "Savage", odds are about 90% you'd have guessed one or the other as right.

The mossberg Model 88 maverick can definitely shoot slugs and with fair accuracy too with the un-rifled stock barrel. Try the Winchester Super X 2 1/2 inch 1 oz. But hang on to it or it will hurt you. The recoil is roughly doubled.

I might be able to help but I need to know if it is hammer or hammerless. Also, how does the gun lock up, with a top lever on top or a push-up lever in front of the trigger guard. Also, can you describe the butt plate if it is an original.

A mixture of white phosphorous (for ignition upon firing) magnesium and zirconium (for maintaining the burn) create a "flamethrower" effect that is truly effective for roughly 20 meters. The claims of 100 yards are drawn from the furthest traveled particle in lab testing. I'm guessing on the reasoning behind the 100 yard claim, because I've never had one do it's job past 30 meters, and even then it was weakening considerably.

You cannot legally buy them from retailers, as far as I know, but I designed and built mine for around $2,700 total. This includes one fully-automatic AA-12, one magazine, and a set of iron sights I attached to the gun. It was a really fun project I did throughout last summer and I'd recommend it if you are willing to spend around $3,000 and about 200 hours of work to design it and build it.

It depends on where you are. In most U.S. states, you can sell a shotgun on an individual to individual basis with no paperwork. In a few states, you have to go through a licensed dealer. You can also sell guns through various websites such as gunbroker.com

That was my first shotgun! My dad bought it new from the the sporting goods department of the local Schweggman's Supermarket (they sold everything back then) for Christmas 1971 --- $34.99.

In very good condition an early model of the FIE 410 double would sell in the $225 - $275 range. The 410 chambering is seeing a resurgence due to the success of the 410 revolvers from Taurus and now S&W. Prices are up for now- will probable drop again to $200 - $250. Early versions are better than later ones from what I have been told.
