What are the Differences between rifle sight and rifle scope?

Sights are typically metallic, either a V notch at the rear, and a post at the front, or a peep sight (small hole in metal disk) at rear, post at front. A scope (short for telescope) is mounted to the rifle, and has a set of cross hairs that can be adjusted up/down and left/right. It has the effect of bringing the target closer. You adjust cross hairs so they are crossing where the bullet strikes. However, simple metal sights may be preferred to a scope in certain conditions- low light, snap shooting, etc. There ARE other sights, such as the "red dot" sight- they superimpose a dot on the image of your target (only in your view- not really on the target) Unlike a scope, most do not magnify the target image.

What is the history of a 3.0 inch magnum shotgun shell?

I uncovered 3-inch .410 shells/guns from 1933 described on a cartridge collector site, but I'm having trouble finding reference to when a 3-inch 12 gauge first came along. I have an old single barrel 12 gauge 3 inch that I suspect is from the 1930's or before.

Who made The New England DoubleBarrel Double Hammer Shotgun?

The New England was a Sears trade name double barrel side by side hammer shotgun made by The Meriden Fire Arms Co., formerly A. Fryeberg, starting in 1905. The buttpad should have the Fryeberg eagle with no lettering in the scroll under the eagle. Everyone I've seen has had fluid steel barrels but I'm sure Damascus steel is also possible. None of these were nitro proofed so only black powder low velocity shells should be used if the gun is deemed shootable by a gunsmith.

What is better a beretta xtrema2 or benelli super black eagle 2?

I have owned a beretta xtrema2 for about 4 years and have never had a faliure(remember to oil). I have taken it duck hunting, quail, dove pheasnt it is a great gun. You can even buy a slug barrel for it and easily mount a scope. But for the benelli I used one temporarily but it always jamed because of the inursura system if you use really heavy rounds you'll be find but sometimes you have to use light ammunition. In my opinion I fvor the beretta.
