Is the ripstik easier to ride than a ripstik ripster?
the other guy is just annoyed because he's unco. the normal ripstik is medium sized, where the ripster is slightly smaller, designed for younger, shorter rider, so they feel comfortable on a ripstik. i haven't ridden a ripster before but i think it would be just the same, if not the movements would be smaller because of the smaller wheelbase. But they should be about the same

Asking which flatland skimboard is the best is kind of like asking which car manufacturer is the best. Ask five different people and get five different answers. But there is definitely a group of board manufacturers that have risen above the rest. A few good brands are DB, Victoria, J-Gordon, and Kayotic. Do you need to wear a helmet when riding a skateboard?
"have to", or "need to" aren't really the right words.
The purpose of a helmet is to protect your head.
Obviously, to get any benefit from a helmet you have to hit your head first.
No hit, no benefit.
So maybe you'll say " I never hit my head".
And as long that remains right, you'll be just fine w/o a helmet.
Thing is, hitting your head isn't much fun.
Even a fairly minor fall can split an eyebrow or a cheek, cause a concussion.
Spending a day in the ER isn't fun.
Having a scalp wound cleaned out isn't fun.
Getting stitches isn't fun.
Long-lasting headaches from concussions aren't fun.
A helmet can let you avoid all of these things.
Which makes wearing one looking like a good deal to me.
Depends what you are doing. If you are just doing tricks like kickflips, ollies, then you are okay. If you are doing insane tricks like 360's off a ramp then you may need a helmet.
