its not exactly the skate board. Its how you use your momentum. Even if you do not use momentum gravity will pull u faster down a steep ramp.

Is it bad if your skateboard gets wet?
Yes. If it was small drops from sweat or something then its ok, but if its from like rain, then you need to dry the board, including the trucks, bearings, and pretty much everything, cuz if you don't its gonna rust, same thing happened to my board, and I really regret it, and another thing is if you get too much water on the board you can still dry of the trucks, bearings and wheels but the board will mess up, and the board won't give you that snapping sound whenever you do an olie.

How do you slid the foot while doing ollie?
Well you have to position your feet right and also jump forward with the board.
your back foot MUST be on the tail slightly off and your front , just before the bolts, then crouch, pop the tail, scrape your front foot up the board, jump forward and lift your legs so your knees touch your stomach.
the grip tape may need replacing, also use GOOD skate shoes e.g..... DC, etnies, globes, etc.

Are tensor skateboard trucks good?
most skateboard trucks are the same but the walmart and cheap knock off brand trucks tend to be a bit heavier and low quality bushings. Venture v5's and any other truck with a hollow kingpin, in my opinion, snap the kingpin very easily and it is very hard to find replacements for it not to mention it is extremely hard to physically take the kingpins out. Independents are very durable, not as heavy as people say they are(a little bit heavier than venture superlights but that's about it), they slide good, and the bushings are very high quality and make turning very smooth.

Which is better a longboard or a cruiser board?
It depends on if you're strictly using your board to get around, or if you prefer to do tricks and the like. Although there are certain tricks that can be performed on a longboard, longboards are typically used for transportation and "Cruising".
Cruiser Boards are usually Shortboards or "Shlongboards" that can be used for both cruising and street-tricks.
Longboards are, well, longer, which allow the board to travel for a longer amount of time. If cruising is your main objective, then I would highly suggest a longboard.

When did skateboards come out?
Skateboarding, as we know it, was probably born sometime in the late 1940s, or early 1950s, when surfers in California wanted something to do when the waves were flat.
In the 1940s, the first skateboards started with wooden boxes, or boards, with roller skate wheels attached to the bottom. Crate scooters preceded skateboards, having a wooden crate attached to the nose (front of the board), which formed rudimentary handlebars.
The boxes turned into planks, similar to the skateboard decks of today. An American WAC, Betty Magnuson, reported seeing French children in the Montmartre section of Paris riding on boards with roller skate wheels attached to them in late 1944.
