Yes Jimmy really does, he is killed off in the 8th season finale; the episode of which is titled "Doomsday." Chloe Sullivan uses Black Kryptonite to split Davis Bloome and Doomsday however after Davis Bloome hears that she had no real romantic feelings for him he kills Jimmy Olsen who is revealed to truly be Henry James Olsen and Henry kills Davis Bloome in reaction to Davis Bloome's attack on him.

Additionally Smallville also centers around the lives of Clark Kent's best friends Chloe Sullivan (as played by actress Allison Mack) and Pete Ross and Clark's first love interest, Lana Lang.

Clark Kent is a reporter for the Daily Planet newspaper in a lot of the Superman comics and adaptations and Cllark Kent is the full name (first name and last name only) that he uses for his human identity in order to attempt to hide the fact that is he the resident hero of the city of Metrpolis; Superman.

Every season they start not liking each other more. I think Season 4 was really the icing on the cake in which Clark felt that he could no longer see Lex as a good person even though he really and truly wanted to. He personally gave up on him ever being good in Season 5 though however Lex became a person beyond redemption in Season 7 due to him murdering his Dad.

Apparently according to a reliable source there is no distributor for Dynasty at present meaning that both Season 6 and a boxset of the entire series (due for release elsewhere in the world later this year) won't be released in Australia, which is disappointing for die-hard fans who have so far bought seasons 1-5.
