Tolkien comments in his Letters #17 "No reviewer (that I have seen), although all have carefully used the correct dwarfs themselves, has commented on the fact (which I only became conscious of through reviews) that I use throughout the 'incorrect' plural dwarves. I am afraid it is just a piece of private bad grammar, rather shocking in a philologist; but I shall have to go on with it. Perhaps my dwarf - since he and the Gnome are only translations into approximate equivalents of creatures with different names and rather different functions in their own world - may be allowed a peculiar plural. The real 'historical' plural of dwarf (like teeth of tooth) is dwarrows, anyway: rather a nice word, but a bit too archaic. Still I rather wish I had used the word dwarrow."

Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was made at the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California.

Snow White is about a little princess whose mother died and her stepmother was jealous of her beauty. She ordered Snow White to be killed but the hunter she hired couldn't bring himself to do it. He left her in the woods by herself thinking that the wild beasts would do what he couldn't. Snow White was found by 7 dwarfs that lived in the woods, and they let her live with them. The evil queen discovered this and tried to kill her with a poisoned apple. However, the apple just made her sleep. Then a handsome prince came and kissed her, awakening her. They rode away together and lived happily ever after.

A beautiful girl, Snow White, takes refuge in the forest in the house of seven dwarfs to hide from her stepmother, the wicked Queen. The Queen is jealous because she wants to be known as "the fairest in the land," and Snow White's beauty surpasses her own. The dwarfs grow to love their unexpected visitor, who cleans their house and cooks their meals. But one day while the dwarfs are at their diamond mine, the Queen arrives at the cottage disguised as an old peddler woman and persuades Snow White to bite into a poisoned apple. The dwarfs, warned by the forest animals, rush home to chase the witch away, but they are too late to save Snow White from the poisoned apple. They place her in a glass coffin in the woods and mourn for her. The Prince, who has fallen in love with Snow White, happens by and awakens her from the wicked Queen's deathlike spell with a kiss.

Snow white is a beautiful princess. The wicked queen is jealous of her beauty and orders the huntsman to kill her when her magic mirror says snow white is the fairest in all the land. Snow white flees and lives with the 7 dwarves and they have a good time together until the witch disguised as an old woman poisons snow white with an apple making her fall into a deep sleep. The prince comes along and kisses her. She wakes up and they all live happily ever after.

No, there will never be a direct sequel titled Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs 2, however it was reported in March 2016 they were interested in making a live action movie about Rose Red, Snow White's sister.

Disney has not commented about or confirmed this supposed project so it may not happen.
