Are the 14u pa shooting stars fastpitch softball team an A or B team?

Unlike in years past, the designation of either A or B has become blurry. There are no hard and fast rules delineating what is an A or B team. It has become a subjective matter. My 12u PA Shooting Stars were, in my estimation, a good B team in 2012. However, our record against A teams was 14-2.

Any team can call themselves A or B today. The same is true for Gold. While ASA (the only governing softball body that recognizes the term Gold) has defined a Gold team as 'one that is 18u and has roughly $20,000 in their savings for travel across the US to dedicated Gold tournaments'...it is safe to say we have all seen 10u teams with the title Gold attached to their name.

Bottom line...outside of the true definition of Gold or College Showcase Team...A and B definitions mean very little today. What is the question you would really like to know regarding the 14u PA Shooting Stars?

See them on the field and make your own assessment.

If catcher drops a foul pop up and batter subsequently gets a hit is batter creditted with a hit?

Sure, the fact that the catcher committed an error by dropping the foul pop up, doesn't effect any action the batter may do. It may, however, effect whether any run or runs that may score are "earned" or "unearned" runs.

What precations should i use to continue to play softball with a pulled hamstring?

A pulled hamstring takes weeks to heal and it's not a good idea to play at all. If you can even walk you're doing well and if you can walk without moderate to sever pain then it's probably strained and not pulled. Either way you will aggravate the injury and turn a couple of weeks into months.
