One good thing to check on is your grip. Having the proper grip on the seam will help on the rotation on the ball. Your wrist snap will help as well.

It depends on the person. Make sure it isn't to heavy or to long. A good way to test if its the right size is to have them hold it out straight in the air to the side of them if they cant hold it out good then its to heavy. You can also see how they swing with it.

My hypothesis is that the baseball will indeed go farther. To explain why well because it is smaller so it will gain more speed. While a softball is big it will not gain as much speed but could be hit far as well. thank you.

How do you compare softball pitching speed to baseball pitching sped?
Speed is based on distance traveled in a given amount of time. Baseball uses a distance of 60 feet 6 inches from the pitching rubber to home where as softball is 43 feet. A ball that would cover 43 feet in 1/2 a second is traveling just over 58 mph while a ball covering 60 feet 6 inches in the same time is traveling 82.5 mph. You need to know 2 of the following 3 ; distance, speed, or time. If you know distance and time then the formula is speed=distance/time.
If you know the speed and distance then use time=distance/speed, get that number then use previous formula and change distance to get comparison.
Softtball was derived from the game baseball, this was so women could play as they didnt play baseball. But these days both genders play both games :)

The biggest I have seen is the WORTH Mayhem "BFG" glove.
It weighs in at 1.25 feet (15" for those of us who might need a calculator to work that out). Its a Big Freakin Glove and feels much larger than my Rawlings RSGXLDTB 14".
It is the only softball glove I have seen listing its size on the actual glove in feet vs inches. Nice touch. Pretty inexpensive too.

What is the minus bat drop requirement for high school softball?
There is no limit to the drop; that only applies to baseball.
The only requirement for a softball bat to be used in high school softball is that it must be ASA (Amateur Softball Association) approved and so marked on the bat. The current marking is the phrase ASA 2004 inside the outline of a home plate.
