The key to reaching any goal, such as becoming a champion speed skater, is to get guidance or instruction and then practice, practice and then practice some more! Just like playing an instrument or writing or anything that you do in your life, practice and guidance are very important factors. You need to be able to be aware of how to let's say speed skate properly and by practicing, you'll improve your skills. You should remember this when your trying to reach any goal in your lifetime, especially if you want to be the champion. Anyone is capable of anything! =D
best wheels would be the ones which are made out of polyurethane rubbers

Inline Speed Skating is when competitors compete in an oval using a boot version of inline skates. It is very simal to speed skating where participants skate normally in packs and race to finish.
There's no number. Ususally in Short track there's 4 on the ice at a time, racing that is. The most I've ever seen is 6, and that was in a 3000m race. But in long track yo can have more, dependson the number of people racing, and the number of people in the meet.
There is no minimum age. As long as you can skate, you can speed skate. Honestly, if your 1 years old, but yo can stand on skates and move forward... You could sign up for your local speed skating club.
The subject of math could be applied to speed skating in many ways.
First in terms of the skater's speed - distance / time = speed. This could also be analysed further in terms of say acceleration or the change in velocity.
Also one could apply math to plot the curve of a skater's route around the oval course; graphs could be plotted and analysed, for example, to find the fastest route around the course.
That all depends on the skater, obviously, and what distance they're skating. Quick research reports that they can average 30 mph, but sprint up to around 37 mph.
