First of all it is Spider-Man, hyphenated. Secondly he is not a real person but a fictional comic book superhero- broadly a satire on Superman. His powers are nowheres as great as Superman, he is an newspaper employee ( a photographer) and the character of the editor, J Jonah Jameson is almost a heavyweight villain, not a supervisory good-guy like Perry White. Anyhow he is not a real man, and several actors have played the role. I always thought Spidey was something of a take-off, mockery of the Man of steel.

No one can figure out another human being, but I would say low self respect for women in general (never respected his mother perhaps) and money! When people break the laws it's usually all about money. Some people steal, others become pimps, etc. Most of us can't figure out why a person would want to do this.
