That's because your mouth is around the same temperature as an oven and your saliva heats up because of the temperature. The saliva just melts away the biscuit. And that's what happened to Mongo.

Well, I guess something happened that made him decide to become spiderman again before Spiderman 2 (as Spiderman tnas takes place between 1 and 2). That isn't hard to imagine: some bad villain breaks out of prison, or a new one pops up---and the world is clamoring for the hero to save them. Or perhaps he takes the initiative and bashes the villain before he or she can cause overwhelming casualties.

Wouldn't you agree that a shocking number of people died in this cartoon series? I'm not against it--it was kind of like a mini movie series. Grown-up (or 7+ cartoons anyway) cartoons are nice. It's fun to actually know that SOME of the crazy stuff he deals with hurts. Spidey isn't perfect--although one advantage of the computer-animation was the hottest incarnation of Peter Parker ever. Cute face. No wonder MJ was crawling all over him.

But anyway--he gets a new suit and returns to crime fighting. In his heart Peter Parker understands that he is not truly guilty, and that the world needs him. A world with only villains cannot survive. Spidey will understand the need for balance, and will remember to be careful around Mind-controllers. And Peter is smart enough to understand mind over matter.

There are various different origin stories for Venom, from the movie story which is similar to the classic Venom story, to the Ultimate Spider-Man Venom. In all of them Venom is a symbiotic organism that briefly merges with Spider-Man before being cast off by Peter Parker (aka Spider-Man) after he realised the negative effects of the symbiotic on his mental and social state.

It then forms a symbiotic bond with Eddie Brock. This combination of Brock and the symbiotic is what most people think of as the Venom character.

In the version most people favour, Brock is a journalist who identifies a serial killer only for Spider-Man to catch the real killer. Disgraced he is filled with rage when he is exposed to the rejected symbiotic and it bonds with him based on this hatred for Spider-Man.

Having been bonded with Spiderman, the symbiot imbued Brock with super human powers copied and improved upon from Spiderman as well as the knowledge that Peter Parker is Spiderman.

In this version and most others, the venom symbiotic is an alien organism that bonds with a host to live while making improving their abilities with its own and those it has taken from other hosts while slowly destroying the host's mind with rage.

The Brock Venom character I have discussed briefly here goes on to semi reform, becoming an anti hero who is as often found aiding heroes as fighting them but only after many, many stories as a pure villain.

Yes, Spider-Man died in the comic, but turned out to be his clone and Marvel continue the comic with Ultimate Spider-Man

One fan's opinion believes that Venom is Spider-Man's strongest villain because Venom shares a lot of the same powers as Spider-Man himself does but Venom shares an advantage that none of Spider-Man's other villains do because Spider-Man's spider-sense does not go off for Venom's presence while it will go off for every other presence.

There was a one-shot Marvel-Dc crossover with Superman Versus Spider-Man they seemed to be dueling on a skyscraper under construction or a hammer-head crane. I recall this as I like Cranes. This was around l974. it was a special edition. normally Marvel and Dc- two rival comic houses- do not cooperate.
