Are welsh springer spaniels bad for people with dog allergies?
I don't think springer spaniels are a good choice for allergy sufferers. They are large dogs that have a lot of hair and they also shed quite a bit of dander. My parents have an English springer spaniel and I get skin allergies sometimes when I pet the dog and she makes my eyes itchy ever once in a while. I own a small rat terrier and have slight allergies to this dog but not to the extent as the springer because she's about 1/5th the size. I think the main concern is if you know you have allergies to dogs it might not be worth the risk to purchase one, especially not a large dog that will give you more dander than a smaller dog. At first I was really sad that I couldn't buy a springer (due to allergies) but the smaller dog has been just as fun, energetic and loving as the springer is.

What age should you breed a springer spaniel?
Hi, I have an English Springer Spaniel and honestly when your able to bring him home you should start walking him. You need to teach him/her to walk on a leash at a young age.
Try little and often when they are under six months old (too much walking can damage their developing bones) so make sure they get plenty of rest in between. Try to also involve obedience training on each walk.
Check out the springer spaniel exercise link attached below for exercise ideas at different ages
What is the rarest dog breed in the UK?
one of the rarest dog breeds is the flat-coated retriever it is a common ancestor of the golden retriever. The difference is it comes in liver(brown) and black. Another difference is they weight slightly less than the golden but are a bit taller. Also their faces are similar but have a slightly different shape to them. They are very affectionate and loyal pets. If you have a claustrophobic problem than i would not suggest getting one because they do not understand personal space. The lifespan is 11-13 years.they are perfect for family's of any size because they will love everyone and are always egor to please. If you have a newborn or an elderly person in you household the flat-coated retriever will Be perfect. they are very easy to train and love water. Never let them loose off a leash unless you have trained them because they love to follow interesting scents. The black flat coats are usually healthier because liver(brown) flat coats tend to have bone problems. Flat coats also tend to shed. Over all flat-coated retrievers are very good pets and very rare.

Can an English springer spaniel do agility?
Yes Welsh Springer Spaniel are quite good in agility at least 9/10 is their grade. Welsh Springers can do a lot of tasks such as water retrieving, flushing, tracking and they can be good therapy dogs. But if you want dog for agility Welsh Springer Spaniel is awesome, and one good thing about them that there is no separate hunting and show line like in English Springers, also you can consider them as good potential, and some other breeds which makes excellent agility dogs from VIII. FCI group is Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever as well as Lagotto Romagnolo and Spanish Water dog.

Are springer spaniels good dogs?
They are fantastic family pets providing they get plenty of long, long walks. our daughter was born when our Springer Spaniel was about 6 and they got on so well together, he was very protective of her! I wouldn't think twice about having another one.
I strongly recommend the english springer spaniel to anybody looking for a family dog. They are so full of love and affection it's unbelievable. However because they are so energatic as a breed on the whole, it can lead to 'mad moments' if you decide to skip a walk for a day because it's raining. They are a breed which either LOVE or hate water, but can show a few signs of cautionwithin the first couple of moths old. My spaniel used to hate ponds, puddles, and was terrified of the sea! But as soon as he turned about 5 months, It was as if a switch was turned on in his head. He dive bombed EVERY pond or puddle, crawling through it and coating themselves in mud. I thought is was funny, but the amount of mud they get caked in gets brought back to the house, which could prove a stairgate usefull to block off the living room. All I'm saying is that you should read up on the dog's behaviour and history before you go out 'impulse buying.'
Most springer spaniels love water my 4month old springer likes shallow water but hates deep he also does like the rain. Weird but maybe he will grow out of it
Why does your springer spaniel eat?
Springer Spaniels will pretty much eat whatever you give them. That is different from the question - What should you be feeding your Springer Spaniel. I personally go for a hypoallergenic diet for my George; it reduces their affectations from allergies and is probably better for them. there is more info here : 1
