I believe you are referring to Scott #1010 celebrating Lafayette's arrival in the US 175 years earlier. Issued in 1952. It can be purchased mint for .45 and used for .15 Selling might get a few cents for it, but few dealers would be willing to buy one stamp.

Mint US stamps are worth their face value to use as postage, so use yours that way, if you need postage.

Otherwise, your stamp has negligible value ( less than 20 cent retail) , but please do not throw it away! Keep it

in your stamp collection for your children or yourself when you have more time. If you have more than one,

you may be able to trade it for stamps of similar value. .

Or give it to a collector friend. Collectors always appreciate the thought even it they do not need the stamp.

Most extreme-denomination German banknotes are unfortunately worth very little today. In circulated condition yours has a value of roughly €1, or about $1.45.

Your note is almost certainly dated 1923, possibly August 9. It was issued by the German Weimar Republic during the period of hyperinflation that followed WW I. In spite of its huge denomination inflation was so bad that its purchasing power was almost nonexistent. Prices rose so fast and the government printed so many bills trying to keep up that many of them were nearly worthless by the time they reached circulation, so they didn't stay in circulation very long. As a result they're very easy to find in collections, which helps to explain their low value today.

Forget get the word "unpicked " some dealers are using as that doesn´t really exist. You know charity worker are also stamp collectors and when they sell it to dealers they want the best price they can get; So all is sorted in one way or the other.

Stamps from all countries can be purchased from dealers. They can also be purchased from the government that issues them. Most postal entities have web sites and have special deals for collectors. Check the Netherlands Postal Service web site for their deals.

The price of postage in the US changed twice in 2007 and 2008. On the 14th of May 2007 the rate went up to 41 cents from 39 cents. On 12 May 2008 the price went up to 42 cents.

A jumbo stamp is a legitimate stamp that is perhaps 10 times bigger than a regular stamp, but it is not a minisheet. It will probably have a denomination way above the current standard postage rate. It appears to be a relatively recent innovation and is usually used to commemorate some event.

Issued in 1918, this was the first US Airmail stamp and had a face value of 6 cents. Over the next 30 years, up until 1957, that was the rate for most air mail. Though it did very in some places.

Minimal value for this stamp indicates that the cost is in packaging and tracking and not the stamp itself. A dealer isn't going to be interested in purchasing a single copy. You would be better to use it for postage rather than trying to sell it. Or trade with another collector!
