*No Stanley Cup awarded in 2005 due to NHL lockout.*
Only once: Charles Woodson, although he also played a lot of special teams.
Interestingly, he beat out Peyton Manning, who had been thought to be a very strong Heisman candidate.
The Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation was established in March 2000
Yes, the Carolina Hurricanes won the Stanley Cup in 2006, beating the Edmonton Oilers four games to three. This was their first and, thus far, only Stanley Cup win, and the first professional major league sports title for a team from North Carolina.
I am going to go off the top of my head but if someone were to do some research they may find someone else. Darian Hatcher of the Dallas Stars was captain in 2000 when they won the cup and Nicklas Lidstrom was captain of the Red Wings in 2008. Other than that I have not seen it happen.

The Detroit Red Wings defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs, 3 games to 1, to win the 1936 Stanley Cup.
You need to gain enough points (2 points for wins and 1 for overtime or shootout losses) in the regular season to make the playoffs. This number depends on all the teams performances (top-8 teams in each conference make the playoffs). Once you hit the postseason you need to win 16 games in total (4 for the conference quarterfinals, 4 for conference semifinals, 4 for the conference finals, and 4 for the Stanley Cup Finals).

Just curious why you would separate teams such as the Montreal shamrocks and the Montreal victorias from the Montreal canadians? You seem to be including the Toronto st. pats, and Toronto arenas, and Toronto blueshirts with your total of 13 for the Toronto maple leafs .. since the nhl became a league and had the Stanley cup as its trophy starting in 1926, the Toronto maple leafs have only won 11 Stanley cups .. if you are counting the st. pats cup and the other Toronto teams cups, then you have to include all the Montreal teams cups with the Montreal canadians, which would give the canadians 40 Stanley cups .. fact of the matter is the maple leafs only have 11 Stanley cups, not 13
I think it's because the Maple Leafs were founded as the Blueshirts, then changed their name to the Arenas for a season, then changed their name to the St. Pats, and finally changed it to the Maple Leafs. The Montreal Shamrocks and Victorias were not the same organization as the Canadiens. The Montreal Shamrocks folded and disbanded before the Canadiens were founded; the Victorias continued to play until 1939, so they were playing at the same time as the Canadiens.
Henri Richard from the Montreal Canadians with 11 Stanley Cup rings. Henri is Maurice "Rocket" Richard's little brother!
The Stanley Cup Playoffs begin in April with 16 teams making it to the post-season. There are 4 rounds, each round is a best of seven series. The date of the final game and subsequent awarding of the Stanley Cup will vary slightly from year to year and depends greatly on how many games is needed in the final round for one team to accumulate four victories. However, it is usually around the second week of June.

The Detroit Red Wings won the Stanley Cup eleven times. That is the most for a United States based NHL team.
yes, red wings and penguins have met in the Stanley cup before.
