Sarah Good was accused at the same time as Sarah Osbourne and the two women were examined by magistrates on the same day. Basically, Good was throwing Osbourne under the bus by trying to deflect blame onto Osbourne.

Well, she lies throughout the entire play and because she is so good at it she can get grown men to believe her. She is jealous of Elizebeth Proctor and wants her gone so she can have John Proctor to herself so she lies saying that Elizebeth preformed witchcraft by makeing a vudu doll and stabbing it. Abigail stabbed herself with a needle to show that she was stabbed and then snuck the vudu doll with a needle stuck in it in her house through a friend. Abigails lies cause all the problems in Salem.

Refering to the play The Crucible written by Arthur Miller - a comment made by Rev. Parris when he confronts Abigail about her reputation around town (asking if it is a pure/good one).

"Your name in the town - it is entirely white, is it not?"

I believe that Miller's treatment of women was a satire of the puritanism that was dated back to that time. It was believed that women's main role was to reproduce, pray, and to understand that their place in their family monarchy was under the husband. They were looked upon a lustful, sinful, and an unwanted temptation to men. I read a quote the stated, " It is believed that the soul had two parts, the immortal masculine part, and the mortal feminine part."

At the end of act one te girls find themselves doing harsh things to John proctor because he has been a naughty boy.

Arthur Miller was the chief engineer of Armalite company, and is known for designing the AR-10 (later redesigned into the AR-15 by Eugene Stoner) and the AR-18 (the action of which served as the basis for the Enfield SA80/L85, Taiwanese Type 65, Chartered Industries SAR-80, and H&K G36 and HK416).

John Proctor doesn't go to Salem primarily due to his guilt over his affair with Abigail Williams and the resulting complications it brings to his life and marriage. Furthermore, Proctor struggles with his own sense of integrity and feels unworthy to confront the town, which adds to his reluctance to engage with the escalating chaos in Salem.

After the witch trials Elizabeth Proctor survived. Elizabeth was pregnant and therefore was spared. She also later got married and had other children.

She was still in love with her hanged ex-husband John Proctor. Even though he cheated on her and lied to her and the court- all of which lead to his death.
