Amy Duggar was born out of wedlock, so she took her mother's name, Duggar, since her birth father ran off after discovering that her mother, Deanna, was pregnant. Deanna then married a man named Terry Jordan, who was then Amy's stepfather. Amy uses her stepfather's name for her music career since most people identify her from 19 Kids & Counting with the name "Duggar".

There are two sets of twins in the Duggar family. John David and Jana are the second and third oldest Duggar kids. They are fraternal twins.

Jeremiah and Jedidiah are identical twins, somewhere in the middle of the 19 kids. (haha sorry i don't know the exact numbers!)

The Duggars do earn money for their show, they do have quite a few buisnesses and do own commercial properties. They do it- They did receive 18 healthy kids and they are extremely well behaved. They evidently wanted 18 kids or they wouldn't have continued having kids. They are very blessed and a very great example. They are very conservative baptists and they are not materialistic, they focus on the more important things in life- Family, Family values, and Jesus Christ. They are very thankful for everything they have. They are a great family!!!!

The Duggar family has very conservative values. The girls are not allowed to wear pants. Only skirts or dresses that are usually below the knee. This also goes with the boys pants. They cant watch tv, or go on the internet. All of their kids are homeschooled. They are also very religious family and try to teach their childen in the ways of God. Michelle and Jim Bob had Josh. After having Josh, they miscarried while on a birth control pill. They prayed and prayed and gave the decision of how many kids they would have to God. Right after that, they became pregnant with Jana and John-David and it just continued!!

Those who support the Duggars include people who agree with the Duggars' reasons for having a large family (religion), and liberals who take a 'let them do what they want' stance.

On the other hand, there are people who do not agree with the way the Duggars live. Some point out the pressure on the planet from having a large family, and some people think that women should not be 'forced' to be a baby machine. It may be that some people are envious, or are not quite sure how to react to a way of life that is different from the norm.

I think that the Duggars are a great family with18 well behaved , polite and respectful children. The Duggars serve as a good example by treating each other well.
