And they should also keep in mind that they should do it only to attract everyone's attetion towards their reason of strike and not to blackmail anyone "do what i am saying else i will go on a hunger strike" and when they are attracted they should stop the hunger strike

When Katniss broke open the forcefield, both the rebels and the Capitol came to pick up the tributes. The rebels didn't have enough time to find Peeta and get out safely, if they wanted to get Katniss(which was their main goal), so the Capitol was able to capture Peeta, in which during that time, killed Brutus(district2) that recently killed Chaff(d11)

In the opening ceremonies, each district is required to wear something that represents their district. In district 12, they represent coal mines. So, in the past games there have been costumes in the opening ceremonies about coal such as naked bodies with coal sprinkled on them, and other horrible costumes that Katniss doesn't like. So she is worried that she will have a bad and enbarassing costume for the opening ceremony.

Katniss managed to control her emotions by blocking them out. Right before she died, Rue told Katniss that she had to win for her. Rue also reminded Katniss of her sister, Prim who also told Katniss that she had to win. Katniss then felt that she must complete her dead Ally's wishes and that she had to win for Prim. When Rue died, she wanted to win more than ever.

The majority of it takes place in District 13, which is an underground District. Katniss does go to a couple different districts for propos (propaganda shoots). The first one she goes to is District 8 where she meets some people in a make shift hospital and ends up battling some of the Capitol aircrafts. She goes to district two for a while and in the end of the book she goes to the Capitol to fight in the revolution.

The end of the book takes place in District 12, where she is sent to live forever with Haymitch, Greasy Sae, Peeta, and a few hundred survivors who lived in district 12 before. Peeta and Katniss get married and raise their children there. Mrs. Everdeen didn't return because she said there were too many bad memories there, but she does call Katniss often. Gale stays somewhere in District 2. He doesn't go and visit Katniss at all, they don't even really stay in touch after that.

On page 3, it says "I clasp the flask between my hands even though the warmth from the tea has long since leached into the frozen air." You can see that katniss is holing a now colld tea cup, shivering.

During the Dark Days, the Capitol creating a specially enhance genetic animal mutations, also called 'mutts'. One of them was a Jabberjay, which was a bird that was able to fly out, record human conversations, fly back to the Capitol, and let them know of any plans/plots of the rebels. Once the rebels found out how their secrets were becoming known in the Capitol, they fed the Jabberjays endless lies. When the Capitol realized that the joke was on them, they released the Jabberjays into the wild to die. Die they did, but before that, they mated with female mockingbirds, creating Mockingjays. Mockingjays can mimic human tones and notes, mostly song tunes.

Mockingjays are an animal that the Capitol never intended on existing, and now there are thousands. It is a reminder that the Capitol made a mistake, slipped up, wasn't perfect. The Capitol is flawed because of the Mockingjay's very existence, just like they are flawed by Katniss and Peeta's winning the Games, becoming a pair of Victors, and using their own rules/plans against them.

Katniss kills President Coin when she is supposed to kill President Snow so that there will be no dictator of Panem, as President Coin probably would've deemed herself President of Panem after Snow's death. She then proceeds to kill Snow a little while later.

They use a 4 note whistle or melody, and the mockingjays in the forest carry their signal to the other because the mockingjays tweet melodies to each other and it gets carried on. Their four note melody means that they are safe.

The whole idea of the story is about different human reactions to different problems we face in life. It is all about how some people are pessimistic and some are optimistic. In other words, either the glass is half-full or half-empty. The book has a very psychologial aspect to it.

Lemme give you an example.

Throughout the series, Katniss Everdeen is very pessimistic, she never believes that she can win the Games and she never believes that she can be safe.

On the other hand, Peeta Mellark is always very optimistic, he is always the one to cheer everyone up or charm an audience.

Then you get people like Finnick Odair, who has a pretty changeable character. When his love, Annie Cresta, is captured, Finnick is really pessimistic and he keeps on thinking that he won't ever see her again. However, when he marries Annie, he is really happy and he is very social and active.

These are just some of the examples in the book. To understand it fully, I think you need to read it or if you've already done that, read it again.
