Touching Spirit Bear

I have not been able to find a DVD or movie on the book Touching Spirit Bear. If anyones finds one, please let me know. THanks

In the book "Touching Spirit Bear," some of Cole's statements include expressing his anger and disdain towards authority figures, his belief that violence is the way to solve problems, and his initial lack of remorse for his actions. As the story progresses, he begins to reflect on his behavior and learns the importance of empathy, forgiveness, and taking responsibility for his actions.

Cole has hurt Peter, and he needs to either go to juvie or an Alaskan island. When he gets mauled by the Spirit Bear, the problem is that he has to get a second chance on the island, and that he needs Peter's acceptance of his apology.

Garvey told Cole that forgiveness is a powerful force that can give a person strength and healing, and that Peter may eventually forgive him if Cole shows genuine remorse and works to make amends for his actions. Garvey emphasized the importance of taking responsibility for one's actions and making positive changes in order to move forward.

The rock represents Cole's ancestors and their struggle. It also symbolizes Cole anger when he pushes it down the hill.

definitely! When peter had to come to the island, he was acting the way cole acted to him. He was trying to get cole back, just so cole would see how it feels

In "Touching Spirit Bear," Cole Matthews tries to provoke Edwin by challenging his authority and dismissing his wisdom. He deliberately acts disrespectfully, such as mocking the traditional healing practices and undermining the concept of accountability. Cole's attempts to anger Edwin reflect his own internal struggles and resistance to the transformative process he is undergoing. Ultimately, these actions highlight his immaturity and the need for personal growth.

They didn't help because after Cole destroyed the first cabin they convinced Circle Justice to give Cole another chance, however this time they decided to make the chance more difficult. Cole had to do everything on his own.

Cole claims that he wasn't being his real self, and couldn't see the light. He didn't realize what he was doing

Cole believes he can help Peter by sharing his own experiences of transformation and healing from anger and violence. He wants to guide Peter towards self-reflection and taking responsibility for his actions, in the hopes of helping Peter change his behavior and find inner peace.

because that was the emotion he's felt the most in the book, atleast halfway through(not sure if he felt it at the moment, though, maybe?)

It is called a Spirit Bear, also known as a Kermode Bear. Despite it's white fur, it's actually a black bear with a rare genetic trait that makes their fur white.

Cole had to discover forgiveness and let go of his anger and resentment towards others, as well as himself. This personal growth and self-reflection allowed him to heal emotionally and spiritually.
