To clarify things, the bill was printed in Washington. Philadelphia is the location of the Federal Reserve Bank that distributed the bill.

There were 5 different varieties of $10 bill with that date. None of them are particularly valuable, but as of 10/2012 a series 1950 bill with a small "E" by the date will retail for $15 to $20 in average condition, and $45 if crisp and uncirculated.

All others, regardless of series letter (blank or A/B/C/D) go for $12 to $15 circulated and $20 uncirculated.

There are no federally-issued $5 bills dated 1903. At that time many private banks issued paper money under federal charter so it's possible you have one of those.

1963 $2 bills are common among collectors and retail for only $1 to $1.25 more than face value, in circulated condition. Uncirculated bills retail for about $10. if they have a * star in front of the A, then they are worth even more.

The red printing indicates these bills were issued as United States Notes, a form of currency almost identical to Federal Reserve Notes. Because it was more expensive to print separate and interchangeable types of paper money US Notes were discontinued about 40 years ago. Since then all paper money has been issued as green-seal Federal Reserve Notes.

Please check the top of your bill; it should say Federal Reserve Note across the top. The last silver certificates were $1 bills dated 1957. Any standard US bill dated 2006 is too new to have any extra value.

A better description of the note is needed, just because the date 1905 appears on the bill does not mean it was printed in that year, also the bill should be much larger than what we see today. Post new question.

There was only one series of 1976 $2 bills printed and it didn't have a series letter. You may be looking at either part of the serial number or the Federal Reserve District letter.

While it's not Answers.com policy to say "use the Internet", that's the best approach in this case. You can use any major search engine and the terms 50 dollar bill pictures to find thousands of examples.

Watermarks, security strips, and microprinting weren't introduced until the 1990 "big head" redesign.

Older bills have very few anti-counterfeiting features. The most obvious is the presence of small red and blue fibers embedded in the bills' paper.

No $50 bills were printed in 1933 due to the Great Depression, and the last $50 silver certificates were printed in the 1891 series.

Despite its age, 1963 $100 bills aren't considered rare. As of 08/2010 circulated ones sell for $100 to $120. A nice uncirculated one can be bought for $150 or so.

$100 was a considerable amount of money back then (at least 10 times as much today) so $100 bills didn't get much use and as a result they didn't wear out very fast. Also (a) there are enough crisp uncirculated notes out there to satisfy the needs of most serious collectors, and (b) very few people are collectors of $100 bills - it's a pretty exclusive collecting area, for obvious reasons.

Still, if you can afford to stash it away it's worth holding onto, if only to preserve an example of what US currency used to look like before they modified all the designs in the 1990s.

Unless it's crisp uncirculated, not much more than $100. If your bill is nearly uncirculated, a dealer who needs one might give you $105 or $110 for it at best.

The CSA only existed during the Civil War from 1861 to 1865 so there can't be an 1854 Confederate bill.

In any case the vast majority of "Confederate" bills on the market are replicas. If yours is in unexpectedly good condition you may have one of those, but a currency expert would have to examine it in person to be sure.
