No, if someone was to be bit by a vampire on the neck they would die istantaniously, no vampire ever bites the neck. It is just a myth, the neck has so many main blood flow areas, they know they shouldn't bite there.

But, goodness gracious, now out in the daylight, they leap tall trees and have sweet normal girlfriends named Bella, and they cavort in the forest all day and fall irrevocably in love. Moreover, Bella's love takes her to see his lovely home, which has everything but a bed (vampire quit sleeping) and we're not sure what's in the kitchen. Legend doesn't have to say anything right now because it's right there on the TV, the pale vampire and the lovely Bella.
