Mr Tiny (Desmond Tiny) created the vampires by a human then he added some wolf blood to him and created them. After that he found out that they had a power to flit(run so fast they can travel all the world in 30 mins). Then Mr Tiny felt that when they realised that they were extra strong Mr Tiny thought that they would take over the world (this was when they could move around by day) so Mr Tiny put some more wolf blood into them and this was when they became slaves of the night.

In mythology, vampires can be born if both parents are vampires. If one parent is a vampire and the other isn't, a hybrid is made (i.e. Blade). The other way to make a vampire is thru biting, where the vampiric blood virus is transmitted from the vampire's saliva into the bitten area.

In reality, those that suffer from the vampiric virus, which allows them to digest blood thru the digestive viscera, can be born from a family with previous vampires in the family tree. The gene that carries the virus can be either recessive or dominant and can sometimes skip generations or keep itself to a specific gender of the offspring. Vampires can also be made when the non-vampire drinks a few mL of blood from the vampire's body. The blood must be fresh, however, as blood spoils within 4 hours of extraction if kept room temperature. This method of 'turning' a non-vampire is not done often, since it bestows the craving for blood and other weaknesses of the donating vampire.

As vampires are fictional any history they may have is associated with the authors of the stories. Some of those authors may include details of vampires and diabetics, others will not.

Apparently Jeremy didnt even exist in the books ... and since TVD is still in its first season on tv (season finale scheduled for May 13th, 2010) ... we really don't know. Rumor has it that in the season 1 finale, a main character and sub character are going to die .... and that apparently the two chars who die have overlapping storylines ... so people have guessed Jeremy and Anna ... we don't know what happens to him yet.

in the season finally Jeremy ODs himself on Elena's old pain killers but before he did that he drank Anna's blood that she gave him before she died. then the show ended and so did the season so stay with the show and you will find out

Vampire bats are mostly found in groups, living in caves in South America. They must eat blood, so they count on each other and share food within their colonies.

3. Transylvania was under the rule of Vlad III Dracula (Vlad the Impaler), and lets just say "Dracula" was the family name, as well as the crest of the dragon, and pretty much every other small vampire legend went along with his name.

(Vlad the Impaler was widely known for his torture methods. One of which was to skin someone's feet, pour sault on te skinned feet, and have goats lick that salt off. pretty cool and gross, huh?)

Also, vampires live in all parts of the world, not just transylvania. And that is because they have to spread out, so they'll have more food for themselves, and they wont kill each other off when they get into their constant p!ssing contests

There is no such a thing as vampires... but there is such a thing as vampire bats. And no, vampires do not have the same powers as Twilight vampires do.

Vampires are, almost definitely, only stories from ancient myths and legends. The original stories all featured a person or creature draining blood, and this could have been down to murder, ritualistic sacrifice or animal attack.

Only in recent stories have they become more refined and endearing, so the modern day vampire is definitely not real, and the old vampire is probably an elaboration on murder stories made by the superstitious and god-fearing.
