There are two main species of palm oil, Elaeis guineensis, native to West Africa and Elaeis oleiferanative to Central and South America

this is achieved by a hydrogenation reaction. The idea being that the oil molecules are unsaturated double bonds, when their exposed to hydrogen gas at high pressure , this causes hydrogen to be added to the molecules and change the double bonds to single bonds, which is responsible for the phase change from liquid to solid.

i would use peanut oil first, as a sub for walnut, 2nd olive, 3rd corn. 4th vege, 5th canola.

You can either filter it, and convert a Diesel truck to run on it. (just google it there are plenty of sites that will give you a "how to" on doing it)

OR you can make biodiesel if you have a TON of oil and dont want to bother converting your Diesel vehicle to run on it.

Refined Bleached & Deodorized Palm Olein (RBDPL) is a derivative of RBD Palm Oil (RBDPO). RBDPO is semi solid in room temperature about 30 degree C but RBDPL is liquid in room temperature depending on their Iodine Value (IV). Corn oil is just one type of vegetable oil.
