There is no fossil evidence that suggests that Velociraptor lived in packs. Some other raptors may have, however. Most likely Velociraptor was solitary, perhaps because the thinly spread resources of the desert make it more difficult to live in groups. They probably were territorial for that reason, too. In fact, one skull of a Velociraptor shows lethal bite marks from another Velociraptor.

Velociraptor was much smaller than shown in Jurassic Park, weighing only 33 pounds, or 15 kilograms.

They are two very different species of dinosaur that lived at different times and in different places. They were both small bipedal predators in a group called theropods, the clade that includes all carnivorous dinosaurs.

Coelophysis was one of the earliest known dinosaurs. It lived in the late Triassic period about 215 million years ago in what is now the southwestern United States. It stood about 3 feet tall and was nearly 10 feet long . Coelophysis had four digits on its hands whearas velociraptor, like most carnivorous dinosaurs, only had three. It belonged to the family Coelophysidae, which lasted from the late Triassic to the early Jurassic.

Velociraptor, contrary to its depiction in Jurassic Park, was actually smaller than Coelophysis, standing about 2 to 2.5 feet tall and getting to be 6 or 7 feet long. It lived in the late Cretaceous perioud between 75 and 71 million years ago in what is now Mongolia and northern China. It belonged to the family Dromaeosauridae, which lasted from the late Jurassic period until the end of the Cretaceous. One of velociraptor's notable features, one that it shared with other dromaeosaurids, was that its inner toe was elevated off the ground and bore a large claw which it likely used for killing or immobilizing prey. Overall , velociraptor was very birdlike and even bore large feathers on its arms. Although no direct evidence of feathers on coelophysis, it is not out of the question that id had them, though if it did, those feathers would not have been as well developed as those of velociraptor.

Velociraptor's tail was about half of its length. They were 6 feet long, thus their tails were 3 feet long.

When dinosaurs were alive, Raptors would not lay many eggs. On average, there were between 4-6 eggs for each litter.

It was most likely a statue, waxwork or model of a velociraptor, since they are extinct.

If he claims the velociraptor is real and tried to eat him, he may require some form of psychology to get rid of his hallucinations. Either that or he works for a real-life Jurassic Park, which I highly doubt.

Fossil evidence seems to suggest that nearly all dinosaurs (with the exception of the giant herbivorous sauropods) raised their young. However, I am not aware of any fossils of young Velociraptor that prove that they raised their young.

Velociraptor walked on two feet, thus it was a biped. They had long legs and a lightweight body, making them very fast when they ran.

That would be 'Therapoda', the same group that Tyrannosaurus rex belonged to.

Definitely before. The ice ages have only be occurring during the last couple million years and the last ice age only ended about eleven thousand years ago. Velociraptor, by contrast lived over 70 million years ago in the Cretaceous period.

Velociraptor was a carnivore, and was only 6 feet long with a weight of 33 lb. They would have been opportunistic, eating small animals such as mammals and lizards, as well as scavenging. They were also effective at hunting other dinosaurs, such as Protoceratops.

The large sickle claw on a Velociraptor's toe measured over 2.6 inches long on the outside curve. Keep in mind the entire Velociraptor was only about 2 feet tall and less than 6 feet long, weighing only 33 lb. The claw was used to severe the blood vessels and windpipe in the throat to kill prey, but it was capable of stabbing through any soft tissue.

The maximum lifespan for Velociraptos probably 15 to 20 years. However, most Velociraptors would have been killed long before they lived for that may years.

Velociraptor didn't have any crests, horns, or other head ornamentation. However, they were feathered and it is possible that they had colorful head a maybe even a crest made of feathers.

Velociraptor would have lived in packs ranging from 3-8 members in each pack. Some may have had upto 50 members. And 1 raptor would live in about 1-2 packs in their life
