KAITO is the 5th Vocaloid to be released for commercial sale on 17 Feb. 2006. Developed by Crypton Future Media, he is their 2nd Vocaloid after MEIKO, running on the 1st generation VOCALOID engine. KAITO is a Japanese male vocalist sampled from voice actor Fuuga Naoto. His voice library will be resampled and updated for compatibility with the Vocaloid 3 engine. He will also be getting an English voice library.

There is the character called Black Rock Shooter with black twin tails for hair that could be mistaken as Miku or a variant of Miku. The reality is that the character only coincidentally looks like Miku. Otherwise they are unrelated in that regard. The confusion comes from the use of Miku in a song and video titled "Black Rock Shooter" by ryo (supercell) who was inspired by the original artwork for Black Rock Shooter. The song gained popularity and many fans confused the original Black Rock Shooter character as Miku herself. It is not uncommon to see Music Videos that feature Vocaloid characters dressed differently with varying hair colors and styles, but in this case, they really are separate characters.

There are many other derived fan-made characters of Miku that could cause confusion. Most just have a passing resemblance to her with many being color changes but an example of one that looks basically like Miku is Miku Hagane (there are two versions, H-side and M-side), the heavy metal version of Miku.

Kaito's sleeves always cover his, Gakupo, Gumi, and I think Haku aren't actually vocaloids so they have no number. Meiko is 00, Miku is 01, Rin and Len are 02, and Luka is 03.

Teto's character item is, apparently, french bread.

Note that Teto Kasane is not a Vocaloid, but an Utauloid for the free singing synthesizer UTAU. Since the Vocaloid and UTAU communities are closely related, Teto and other UTAUloids have many fans within the Vocaloid community and its not surprising to see many songs featuring Teto or other UTAUloids singing alongside their Vocaloid counterparts.

I think because their weeaboo and they think everything anime is good, i have listen to a couple of vocaloid songs but its really screechy and horrible. i stick to real people thank you very much --Ah, while it's true that there are a lot of weeby fans, I personally love the idea. Anyone can compose music and have a vocalist without hiring anyone or having to sing it themselves. I like writing music, but I can't sing for my life. If I wanted to publish something, I could buy a Vocaloid, write a bunch of songs using it, and sell an album. While it's true that they generally do not sound as pleasant as a real singer, it's no worse than a heavily autotuned singer, especially when edited well. As for liking Vocaloid songs, I tend to like the lyrics a lot, and if you find a popular song it's almost guaranteed to have several nice covers from the community, which lead to fun things like choruses and duets. It's also fairly easy to find bass guitar and piano covers for them, unlike with other music I like. The popular opinion seems to be that the lyrics are more meaningful and that the fanbase is more tightly-woven than anything in modern Western music, but I don't think that either of those are particularly true.

In Japan, whole words or phrases can be represented by numbers as a form of shortcut. The numbers 1 through 10 each have a kanji which have multiple ways to read them. 39 simply reads as "Miku". Mi for the number 3 and ku for the number 9. 39 also reads as "sankyu" or "thank you". Her 39 concerts are giving thanks to the fans. As you may or may not already know, the concerts also fall on March 9, or 3/9, which is known as "Miku no Hi" or Miku's Day.

Yes, it is obvious that Fantage has anime/manga/Nintendo/kawaii/chibi-looking avatars. These days, kids are exposed to East Asian modern pop culture - from Gangnam Style and other K-POP music to Vocaloid music and cosplay parties through anime and manga. Sometimes, kids actually tend to find the anime/manga/kawaii/chibi/Nintendo-like characters as "cute" (indeed, "kawaii" means actually "cute" in Japanese). Despite major association of anime/manga with violence, blood/gore and sexual themes, there are some titles that are actually suitable for kids, or designed for them, or are popular amongst them (as well in Japan).

But it has nothing to do with otaku culture - in fact, otakus are ridiculous.

There is currently no Vocaloid with a blonde ponytail. There is, however, a fanmade, Neru Akita, who has a long side ponytail and yellow hair. Lily also has blonde hair, there may have been a PV of one of her songs with it done up in a ponytail.

Rin and Len are vocaloids which means there "singing synthesizer application software" which basically means there singing computer programs.There voices are made from " fragments sampled from real people" those fragments are then put together to make loads of different songs.
