Crossing a white cat with a brown one can result in kittens with various coat colors and patterns, depending on the genetic makeup of the parents. The kittens may inherit a mix of white and brown colors, as well as potentially other colors such as black or orange. Tigerheart may have made Dovewing a bit wary about him from time to time. Once in one of the books, Dovewing spotted Tigerheart avoiding and nodding to Ivypool during battle. That made Dovewing think that something was going on between them that she didn't know. Things like that happen throughout the books of Omen of the Stars. Tigerheart and Dovewing soon start to fall in love but Tigerheart likes both Dovewing and Ivypool. Other than that, Tigerheart didn't do anything to harm or threaten them throughtout the books.

Thistleclaw never really did anything too bad. I mean he roughed scourge up a bit and didn't like Bluestar but I never understood why he's in the dark forest. He was a good cat even if battling was his answer to everything. I think she does still just is to proud to admit it. She loved him so much when she was alive. He was so heart broken after she died that he made all the wrong choices. Anyway yes I think she still loves him.

She is in the dark forest because she had kits with a cat from another clan. I'm sure that there are some other reasons as well. You can see after reading Crookedstar's Promise that she belongs there though.
