About $75-100. These were durable, utility grade hunting firearms- made for "the working man". Although there is very little collector interest, these were well made, safe, reliable firearms. I have a couple of Mossberg bolt actions that I keep as a "loaner" gun when a visitor hunts with me, and did not bring a shotgun.

Several companies made firearms marked with the Hawthorne and Westernfield Brands of Montgomery Wards. They inlcuded Mossberg and Savage, along with Noble, Colt, Marlin and Winchester. If you will repost with the model number, we may be able to match it to the original make/model.

Depending on condition, anywhere from $125 to $250 for a MINT specimen. If missing the rear sight, deduct about $50-$60.

The model 152 was made from 1948-57, with the earliest rifles having a wooden fold down forearm, and later ones having a back plastic fold down. I have 3 of these cute little rifles- but they have all been claimed by my grandkids as their rifles. There is a modest collector interest in these, and some parts are available for them. The rear peep sight is frequently missing, and is pricy to replace. Not a target rifle, but excellent plinker or lightweight small game hunting rifle. 1948-1957 1948-1957

Montgomery Ward Company marketed the Western Field brand of firearms mostly in the first half of the 20th century. They contracted existing gun manufacturers to supply them with firearms to be stamped with the Western Field name. Stevens, Mossberg, Marlin, and others were some of these companies.

The model 30 is a bit of a conundrum since there were actually different models using that number. They came in two general variations (pump and bolt-action) and in two separate gauges (12 and 16), as listed below:

#model 30 SB526A (Stevens model 520*, 16-gauge pump)

#model 30 25EKN 162A (Kessler model 30c 12-gauge bolt action**)

*Stevens model 520 also came in military variations, a.k.a. "trench guns" used during WW2, although the nickname 'trench gun' implies trench-style warfare, so there is the mistaken belief that this model was used during WW1, even though it was never produced until after that conflict.

**Kessler model 30c bolt action shotguns had a spring loaded magazine that held 2 shells.

As you can see, some Western Field model 30s were pump action, some were bolt action.

As you may know, Montgomery Ward was similar to Sears in the old days in that it was primarily a mail-order company. Stevens also made firearms for Sears.

Good question- not sure that anyone has an exact answer. The 46 B was made from 1938-1940, and production resumed after WW II, 1945-1946. These rifles did not have serial numbers (not required until 1968), so it is not certain that anyone has precise numbers. You may check with Mossberg- they are likely to refer you to the Mossberg Collectors Association, through havlinsales.com. Vic Havlin and his wife Cheryl run the Association, are very nice and knowledgeable folks- contact them.

PS- the 46B is an excellent target rifle. I have one, it shoots better than I do.

Production began in 1943, ended in 1948. Value will depend on condition, and completeness (many are missing the rear peep sight, which is expensive to replace, many are missing the original sling swivels. Value may range from $175-$400 for a "like new" specimen. These are extremely good target rifles. Mine will shoot 5 shot- one hole- groups at 50 meters.

If it is the Model 24F in excellent condition with the box you can get between $900 to $1200. This depends on where you list it. These combo guns are at a height in popularity due to the prepper craze. There have been several experts that have recommended this rifle for preppers and the prices have doubled.

If the barrel is marked for 3 inch magnums, yes. Marked 2 3/4, no.

Do not attempt to use other than a Mossberg bolt made for that rifle.

If your 83A is a bolt action .410 shotgun, these were made in the late 1930s. They are sound, reliable utility grade shotguns, but do not have a high collector's value. Depending on condition, these typically sell for $75-$125.

A Stevens Model 416 is an identical rifle with different markings.

50-125 dollars depending on overall condition,and a good bore.

Not certain, but I THINK your rifle may be a Colt Colteer semi automatic, made for Montgomery Wards under their Western Field label. Some of the cross reference data is spotty. Google images for Colteer, and see if it is similar to your rifle.
