1) Whales are mammals and do not have gills, they come to the surface to breathe.
2) Whale Sharks have gills and as other sharks receive oxygen through the water.
3) Whales sharks have the same cartilaginous skeleton structure as other sharks
Tthe reason its called WHALE shark is because it is the largest of all the sharks, and as whales are the currently biggest mammals on the earth it only seems appropriate.
No. it isn't a reptile.
The Whale Shark is found in tropical and warm oceans, lives in the open sea with a lifespan of about 70 years
in the sea
Whale sharks live in warm water (near the equator) both along the coast and in the open seas. They spend most of their time near the surface of the water.
The Whale Shark has no natural preditors.
I don't think there are any
Well KSMAIL The whale shark may have no natural predators but it has predators, there are 4 main ones
Orca ( Killer Whale)
Blue Shark
Boats
Humans
In 1999 about 100- 500 whale sharks were living
In 2009 about 3,200- 6,000 whale sharks were livnign
Yeppp, have you seen your buddy recently... That whale seems stuffed... Stuffed with human bones... And a scole. The ocean has also turned red... :D
The fastest recored Mako was 31 mph. The fastest recored Mako was 31 mph.
it depends on the type of whale. Narwhals, for example, have only two teeth, one (or sometimes both) of which breaks through the mouth and grows into a thirteen foot tusk. other whales, such as the sperm whale, have between 50 and 80, while dolphins (which are a sub-category of toothed whales) can have over 100.
IS A BALEEN A BALENA .
Killer whales frequently live in groups called pods. At a certain time of the year, these pods get together. The males from one pod will move into different pods and mate with the females in other pods. Then they go their different ways.
To answer the question in the simplest way, the giraffe has a backbone.
However, there is more to it than that, especially given that there are two invertebrate chordate groups - Urochordata (tunicates) and Cephalachordata (lancelets) - whose backbone is not in the form of actual vertebrae.
As Chordates (or members of the phylum Chordata), giraffes share the following characteristics:
bonnet heads have rounded heads and hammerheads have flat heads.
a permanent band on the fishing of whales, dolphins and sharks would affect the ecosystem in that fish is the main source of food for all three. if they over populate the ecosystem then there will be a short fall in fish which well eventually leads to fish shortage.
this is a uestion I think only an scientist or albert Einstein can answer.but if someone knows the anwer pleases please write it down I am desperate for help.thank you.and have a nice day.
In 2005, a Great White Shark named Nicole travelled approximately 6,900 miles in 99 days from South Africa to Australia. That would be an average of 69 miles a day.

Yes the great white shark does sleep while moving scientists have not yet figured out how but they manage to keep floating/and/or swiming.
Whale sharks are sexually mature at 30 years old. This is the age at which they are able to mate and reproduce.
Most marine mammals are carnivores, but a limited few are not. Most large aquatic life mammals eat meat. A few examples are Whales, Dolphins, and Sea lions who all eat fish or other various sea life. An example of a mammal that is a herbivore is a manatee which eats vegetation.
One similarity is that they are both sharks and mammals, they both live in the water and give birth live, and breath with gills, but a whale shark is peaceful while a tiger shark is one of the most aggressive sharks. I hope this helps and please recommend me!
they are actually slow moving creatures that use echolocation to communicate. also there prey consists of small fish and krill so there is no need to intimidate. even though they are large they generally travel at around 5km an hour so no fast movements, though they do move their entire body to swim instead of just their tail.
This can vary in length. In meters, they measure at 12 meters. In centimeters then they measure at 1200.
Some adaptations that help tiger sharks survive are a keen sense of smell and eyes that can see in the dark. They also are able to sense movement near them.
no they don't but they have their mouth open all the time to eat plankton
no, whale sharks are the biggest animals in the WORLD!
Not really
to date , not data shows this ...
although there's whale sharks in the red sea and there's videos and photos of them
A whale shark will eventually outswim you, but why bother? They do about 3 mph / 5 Km/h / 3.15 knots. The good news is that they're not interested in people anyway.
I'm going OT here...
We all know about The great white, (but like unmusty, unhassled elephants) they're usually human-friendly.
The two to be scared of, are the bull shark (which will nudge you before biting your arm off) and the tiger shark which won't!
Anyway, I don't want to scare people about those species, so I'll mention that the white tipped shark has a higher kill-rate on humans than any other species.
So the next time you put a plecostomus in your fish tank or buy "rock haddock" at a fish and chip shop, don't let it bite you. It's a shark!
what is the speed of a whale shark === ===

Whale sharks are the biggest fish in the world, and they are pretty much 'semi vegetarian' they swim with their mouths open and take in plankton and other mini organisms.
They do not actively hunt seals or any large animals, In fact human can swim alongside whale sharks in peace
Mammals are warmblooded (their blood temperature stays fixed), and manatees are mammals, so they're warmblooded.
