Who wrote the song windmills of your mind?

"The Windmills of Your Mind" (Les moulins de mon cœur) is a song with music by Michel Legrand, as well as Alan Bergman and Marilyn Bergman, and lyrics by the Bergmans, from the 1968 film The Thomas Crown Affair. Noel Harrison performed the song for the film score. It won the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1969. (Harrison's father, the British actor Rex Harrison, had performed the previous year's Oscar-winning "Talk to the Animals"). The opening two melodic sentences were adopted from Mozart's second movement from his Sinfonia Concertante for Violin, Viola and Orchestra.

What sort of useful work can a windmill do?

In older days, windmills were generally used to grind grain, through the wind turning the blades, which turned the grinding mechanisms. Presently, windmills can be used to convert kinetic energy into electricity, popularly seen as an alternative to fossil fuels.

How big should a wind mill be to produce 50kWh per day?

Typical systems will deliver roughly 10 to 12% of their rated power. 50 kWh divided by 24 hours in a day means the system will need to produce slightly over 2 kWh each hour. Assuming the 10% efficiency, we will need to specify a 20kWh unit in order to average 50 kWh each day.

There will be other losses in the total system including losses in the inverter and line loss. Slightly over specing the system is a good idea.

Who sells windmills for private homes?

i am not sure where you live or anything but here is a site i looked at and got one shipped. http://www.hardwareandtools.com/invt/u311723 There's a bit of science to getting the right one for you, so I recommend you ring a couple of companies for advice. Over here (UK) they are pretty honest and helpful; I guess they need the good press. In urban areas I'd consider a vertical axis turbine, other than that the best size will depend on where you live, how much space you have and local planning policy.

How do windmills keep the land dry?

They are working in the same way that a hairdryer drys your hair. Simple.

How many times is the windmill reconstructed in Animal Farm?

three times...

once by the storm, once by the "snowball's secret agents", and once by the men.

Hoe many wind mills to power a house?

That would depend on the size of the windmill and the home. You must also have an alternative source as wind is extremely unreliable.

My home system produces roughly 10% of the claimed power, which is normal for my area. The rating you see on a wind system is based on 28 mph. If your average wind at your home is that speed, you will see the rated power during those times. In Wisconsin, the average wind by my home is closer to 14 MPH. This means we see about 10% of the rated power. Therefore a 2000 watt system gives us 200 watts (about two light bulbs worth of power). Power output is cubed so if you are over 28 MPH, you will see much more power. Storage will be your issue during those periods.

If you buy one 20KWH system you would see about 2000 watts average power. That would run your home with no air conditioning and under the assumption that your are energy conscience. Payback is not something to want to calculate. (It never occurs).

If you are on the grid, buy a gridable inverter, the batteries would be a dangerous issue of near your home because of the hydrogen gases and the shear volume of power you will have available.

Running my solar/ wind system has been very fun. It requires about two hours a week and is less then 100 times more expensive then being on grid.... I would never do it again, if I knew then what I know now.

Can you find windmills in America?

Yes, you look for the giant towers with blades that are spinning.

How much does does a wind mill cost?

From a few hundred to many thousands depending on the specifications

How do windmills benefit us?

They capture the energy of wind so it can be transferred and used instead of creating energy.

What are the benefits using windmills?

windmils provide kinetic power (mechanical motion) without the cost of electricity or other energy supplies. it has been used by many civilizations as a means of doing work cheaply and without cost. it has been most recently used to generate electricity in wind farms by making wind push turbines in electric generators. it is currently a source of energy favoured by many enviromentalists and is currently undergoing somwhat of a rennaisance (that means it is becoming a more modern idea dispite being an idea with roots that go back hundreds of years).

Where is Redcar?

Redcar is a seaside resort in North Yorkshire, in the northeast of England.

How does a windmill or helicopter turn?

Helicopters and windmills turn different ways. Windmills turn by the wind. The stronger the wind, the faster the windmill goes. Helicopter turn by electricity. Electricity is "hot". For Example: If you get electrocuted it will feel hot. You will really be getting burnt. So the heat of of the fire will light the wire's and that will turn the helicopter's propeller.

How many chickens does it take to eat a windmill?

they can't

Well, if you take the direct radius of the chicken in question, then the answer would be 6. Unfortunately, the radius is unavailable at the current time, therefore we need to work it out the long way. x, being the chicken, times y, the windmill.

The Equation: x(cos)2 x e(xy)96/56 + 23(y) - π = Ω

Therefore, the answer to the question is Ω.

It would take Ω chickens to eat a windmill.

Of course, it is good to note that only the Brazilian laughing chicken, residing in Southern California, would not eat just any windmill, only a Reßfu∑o Windmill, bought at Al's Pottery Barn, located somewhere in Germany for only ¥100,000,000.

How do windmills create energy or how does the generator work inside one?

Windmills create energy by harnessing the kinetic energy of wind to rotate the blades, which are connected to a generator. The generator converts the rotational motion of the blades into electrical energy through the principles of electromagnetic induction. This electrical energy is then transmitted to the grid for use.

How does the number of blades on a windmill affect it?

The number of blades on a windmill directly impacts its efficiency and power generation. More blades can capture more wind energy but may lead to more turbulence and drag, reducing overall efficiency. Fewer blades are more aerodynamically efficient but may not capture as much wind energy. The optimal number of blades depends on various factors such as wind speed, design, and intended use.

What percentage of energy in the US is from windmills?

Global leaders in installed wind energy are Germany at 23,300 MW; US at 20,413 MW; Spain at 15,900 MW; China at 9,000 MW; and India at 8,757 MW. If you find the total energy used in the US then you will have your percentage.

How is the wind energy captured by the windmill?

Wind energy is captured by the windmill blades as they spin due to the force of the wind. The blades are shaped to capture the kinetic energy of the wind and convert it into mechanical energy. This mechanical energy is then converted into electricity through a generator located inside the windmill.
