How do you charge a magic wand?
It can be very difficult to make a wand, but if you don't want there to be side affects or any left over power from other owners, you probably shouldn't use someone else's, and making one will be your best strategy. It doesn't particularly matter in what order you do these steps, just complete the process in whatever way seems fit.
You will need:
a live tree (you don't have to own the tree, it can be in a park or something)
a bowl of water
scissors, or something to cut off a branch with
a book
a pen
a knife (for whittling it down)
Process:
ALL DONE AT NIGHTTIME
Cut off a stick from the tree about as long as your forearm (and hand).
Soak the stick in the bowl of water over-day.
The next night: write one NOUN (person, place, thing, or idea) in the book, something cool like "melody", "raven", "blue moon", something that seems magical to you. Do not write "magic".
The next night, do the same thing, until you have enough words that, if written the long way on the stick, will take up the space from end-to-end.
The NIGHT AFTER you have enough words, whittle the stick so it is skinnier and as long as your forearm (not including your hand). Write the words on BOTH SIDES of the stick, so they will fit on its newly-shortened form.
Burn the page on which you have written the words on in the book, and slightly singe the tip of the stick with the SAME FLAME (heehee, it rhymes).
Lay the wand on top of the book, and leave it outside in a place that seems magical to you (and where no one can get to it).
The next night, it will be ready!
Why do witches have Black cats?
Most Modern Witches don't have black cats. A real Witches' familiar can be an animal of any kind and any color. The black cat is a stereotype, but there is a true association with black cats and Witchcraft however. Many cultures have superstitions about black cats, often ascribing either "good luck" or "bad luck" to them. Folk Magick teaches that the black color is a strong antecedent for magickal properties. Black cats have played a major role for centuries in folklore, superstition, and mythology. Black cats in the middle ages were believed to be witches' familiars, and some people even believed them to be witches' incarnate. Many of these old superstitions about black cats exist to this day. (Here is one you may be familiar with: In Yorkshire, England, it may be lucky to own a black cat, but it is unlucky to have one cross your path. Many People [including Pagans!] maintain this superstition to this day.])
Black Cats and Witches
Black cats have long been associated with witches and witchcraft to the extent that during October, the Month of Halloween, black cats and witches are favorite icons used for costumes, home decor, and party themes. This trend is so embedded in modern society that we've forgotten that the modern holiday we celebrate as Halloween has ancient beginnings as well as names: Samhein (pronounced Sow-en) and All Hallows' Eve. Despite these religious beginnings of Halloween, old beliefs about black cats and witches still play a large part in this holiday.
Black Cats as Witches' Familiars
It was largely in the Middle Ages that the black cat became affiliated with evil. Because cats are nocturnal and roam at night, they were believed to be supernatural servants of witches, or even witches themselves. Folklore has it that if a witch becomes human (but, hmmmm... aren't real Witches already human?), her black cat will no longer reside in her house. Some believe that black cats are witches in disguise, or witches reborn (this of course, is not always necessarily the view that a Witch would have.... but many Witches do believe in reincarnation of soul energy.) Others believe black cats are witches' familiars (beings that aid witches in performing their craft)(This is the view an average Witch would have.) Not all familiars were black cats though; some were cats of other colors, dogs, pigs, or other animals. For several centuries "witches" were rounded up, tried, and killed by burning or other violent methods; often their familiars were killed along with them.
No. Witchcraft is not aganist christianity or God but many christans are against it.
Is there a such thing as black magic spells that allow you to switch bodies with someone else?
== == * People who make money from "black magic" such as the late Alister Crowley may claim to do things like that, but aside from being publicity hounds or being deranged, they have no reason to make such claims. == == * None that I'm aware of. That stuff exists only in books, movies, and perhaps the imaginations of twisted people. I know movies such as Freaky Friday portray people switching bodies, but that is solely for entertainment purposes, not to show you how to do magic. There's no proof of any real people switching bodies with each other. = = * We mortal humans actually know diddly with "beyond" and what one's mind and body is capable of doing and because we can't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exists, but in this case I would have to say no. In our minds we can became someone other than ourselves, but not body-wise. However, what we have termed as "black magic" does exist in many countries and can be a great source of evil if misused (which it usually is.) == == * Yes, certain black magicians can switch bodies with other people and also allow you to switch bodies with somebody else. It is also has some connections with VOODOO SPELLS. It is also possible with true deep love, and quantum physics: http://fullbodytransplant.wordpress.com/2007/09/26/the-full-body-transplant-experience/ == == * There's a tantric technique called "drong jug" (part of the six yoga's of Naropa) which is concerned with the transferal of consciousness into living or dead bodies. == == * Indeed there is but only those within the vampiric court can know. == == * I've never seen or felt or been switched to someone elses body, but magic.. probably is because I highly doubt that our world is just plain with no magic in the world. 'Black Magic" is different, but I think that it depends if your religion or culture believes in it. There were some stories or tales about body switching but that might just be a fib. I honestly am scared to try any spells, just to be on the safe side. If you truly want to try something as dangerous as that then go ahead. But remember make sure you have a spell to switch you back!
Prosperity spells do exist and work, however, it is the gods that decide how they will send you your prosperity. A lottery win is just one of thousands of ways they can and do cause the spells to manifest.
It is my experience that the harder you try to "force" a single solution (ie. a lottery win) the less likely it is to manifest.
If you want to use an ethical spell for prosperity, there are dozens, they are all much more likely to be successful than a specific (and somewhat less ethical) spell for a lottery win. Remember, the gods tend to help those who help themselves... and a lottery win is more of a serendipitous occurrence than a solution to a monetary problem.

How did people know if you were a witch?
in films and books that i have read, i have found out that if they thought that you were a witch, they gave you a broom and said to you "if you are a witch use this broom to save yourself and fly away to safety and if not you will die".So they gave you the broom and pushed you off a very high cliff etc. and either one of the options they said proved if you were a witch.

It is the ability to move objects/bodies with only the mind. Without having to physically touch the object, if a person concentrates they can move the object. Anyone know a website or more about spells that work?
There is no guarantee that a spell will work, ever. Sometimes it is the newness of the practitioner, sometimes God and Goddess do not want whatever you wish to happen. Spells are simply a way of focusing your intent and releasing energies by the use of tools (bell, candle, besom, athame, etc)
It is also best to do a spell to show your intent, and let it go.
What was the social response to witchcraft?
Social factors include the fact that people had a lot of superstition during the time witches were thought to be real (around 16th &17th century). Because of the misconceptions and lack of knowledge, superstition and fear took hold of people and harsh punishments were given to the accused 'witches'; and also accusing your enemy of being a witch is an easy way to get rid of the person. One of the religious factor is the rise in Christianity, witchcraft were thought as a conspiracy against the churches since witches were believed to be working for the devil, which is an enemy of God.
Can witchcraft predict the future?
== == == == * Witches don't necessarily have predictive powers, no; some may, others may not. A psychic, medium or tarot/palm reader may be able to do this but again others may not. It's all in the person, what they do, what they want to do, what they learn and who you see.We are all very nice and accept other people's life choices and differences just the same as any non-witch and I have total love for humans and animals alike and would never do any harm to anyone, and I cannot and I would not predict anyone's death. I'm always confused when people assume that I would curse or harm anyone simply because I use herbs, chants, and communicate with the universe.I'd advise everyone to be skeptical and wary if anyone claims to predict your death, especially if you didn't ask them to.
* The short answer is that anyone can predict your death, whether they will be right or not, you'll never know. So, as said in the previous answer, be wary of anyone who claims they can predict your death. If for no other reason than the second they tell you "you're going to be hit by a truck and die" you are going to start watching out for trucks aren't you? So by telling you how you are going to die, will change how you are going to die. But in all seriousness, look around at how many people are "getting" cancer, if you want to worry about how your going to die maybe you should start with a cancer screening.

What did witches do in the 17th century?
The same things we do now a days.
Not exactly. In the 17th century, the term "witch" was specifically applied to those who used magic to cause harm. Those who used magic in the way modern witches do were usually referred to as "wise-folk" or "cunning-folk". The term "witch" was rehabilitated in the mid 20th century, and now has a very different meaning to the 17th century usage.
Many old women were accused of being a witch, and many died an innocent death. For an example, If a lady were caught being a witch, or if she were accused of being a witch, they would tie rope around her stomach and put them in the water. If they floated on water, this obviously meant they were a witch because people believed witches were made of wood. If they sunk they weren't a witch, but they were dead anyway. This was a very unfair way to find out if somebody was a witch or not.
================================
The European Witch craze reallykicked off in the late 15th century with the publication of the Malleus Maleficarum by Kramer and Sprenger. Various bits of folk belief & medicine had been tolerated until then but as the Middle Ages saw faith being replaced by reason and the power of the Church undermined not least by new knowledge from the Islamic World (seen by the Church as devil worshippers anyway) the Church became increasingly oppressive. The belief in what witches did was probably largely defined by the beliefs of the persecutors rather than the victrims themselves.
In England the persecution was not by the Church but by the State. Of roughly 800 witches executed 80% were women & 20% men. Over 300 of these were hanged by Matthew Hopkins.& his henchman John Sterns in Essex.
In England torture had been officially abolished in 1640 and the confessions are often of incredibly trivial matters such as disputes over the price of herrings, whereas where torture was routine succh as Scotland & France victims confess to turning into cats, flying broomsticks, eating dead bodies from graves etc.
Witches did not really do any of this, but this reflects what the authorities thought they did. Many "wise women" or "cunning folk" were not accused but accused others of withcraft.
"Swimming witches" was done in the belief that holy water would reject a witch. If you sank you were not left to drown but pulled out. Even so many contemporaries did not believe in witchcraft - notably Jan Weyer who first coined the term "mental illness" to describe the victims confessions and Reginald Scot from Kent.
Most "modern" witchcraft is based upon the writings of Gerald Gardner or Alexander Saunders or Aleister Crowley. Gardner in particular claims to have resurrected 17th century paganism along the lines of the theories of Maragaret Murray. These have been extensively debunked by subsequent historians such as Professor Ronald Hutton (a man who says he was brought up as a pagan).
Currently people who imagine themselves to be witches are self-deluded if they believe their own brand of amateur dramatics represents any kind of historical continuity at all & if they do not make it up as thjey go along then they follow sonmeone else who does.
How many people have died because they are a witch?
No one really knows how many actual witches have died because of what they were. However, the official death toll of the British, Scottish, and American witch trials numbers 9 million accused and convicted.
What was the egyptians book with spells?
Egyptians did not have magic; they believed, like many ancient civilisations, that intercession on behalf of the gods and other mythological personages was responsible for many apparently supernatural events.
How do you put a spell on someone?
first you say the person name then have a clear thaught iof what you want to do then cast the spell and say ur spell lock like mine is zapadomis
The act of placing a spell on someone is just a bit more complex than stated above.
Spells of healing, prosperity, etc. work best with the complete knowledge and permission of the person. That way they can help with the spell and act in accordance (work toward the manifestation).
Casting a spell on someone without their express knowledge and permission is manipulation of the very worst kind. Using your powers and energies on someone else would put you in the direct line of the Threefold Law (that which you send out will return to you three fold).
Why did people in the 1500-1700 believe in witches?
People were scared of withces--and some still are--becasue they feared their powers. they seemed to have malevolent spells ready at their fingertips to use, and were terrified that they would harm them or their family or property. Many withces are good htough there are 'evil' ones who use bad, dangeorus and harmful magic for their own gain or glory, and people were mortified of the havoc they could wreak.
What was the witchcraft like in the Elizabethan era?
They were burned on the stake, or they would be dunked in water. If they survived, the people would believe that they saved themselves and they would burn on a stake. If they drowned they would be found innocent. It wasn't much of a sensible way to catch witches, because if you were innocent, you would be dead anyway :(
The word used by some when trying to cast a magic spell?
There are no specific words that are spoken when casting a spell. Many of the spells practiced, are based on different religion, or covens (if it's witchcraft). Spell words vary from place to place, and there are millions upon millions of spells.
