Why is the Taj Mahal considered a 'Wonder of the World'?
The Taj Mahal is a unique, massive, impressive architectural accomplishment of it's time, 55 meters high. The Statue of Liberty could fit inside it easily (46m).
It is considered by many who have seen it to be the most beautiful building ever built. The date of its completion plus the reason for its existence, add to the wondrous nature of the structure.
The building of the Taj Mahal was ordered by Moghul ruler Shah Jahan to commemorate the memory of his late favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The project required the labor of over 22,000 workers and 1000 elephant's, including many fine artists and architects. It was begun in 1632, and completion of the entire complex took about 22 years.

The Temple of Artemis was built around 550 BC at Ephesus. Its modern location is near Selcuk, Izmir Province, Turkey.
Of all these, only the Great Pyramid of Gizah is one of the Seven Wonders of the world. Remember that that list was written long ago by ancient Greeks and it took into account what they knew of the world then (they didn't know China, the tower of Pisa was not built, etc..)

Why are deep sea vents a wonder of the world?
Prior to the discovery of the first deep sea vent, the ocean floor was thought to be a desolate and relatively lifeless place. The organisms living there had to deal with complete darkness, incredible pressure, extremely cold temperatures, and an intense sparsity of food. The deep sea vents, though, offer an incredible variety of life, from the giant tubeworms to new forms of bacteria to strange crustaceans and mollusks never before imagined. And the vents themselves supported an entirely different ecosystem - one that was chemosynthentically based. The bacteria living in the esophagus region of the giant tubeworms perform a process called chemosynthesis, similar to but having some significant differences from, photosynthesis. The main difference is, of course, that light is not required to initiate chemosynthesis. Moreover, the chemicals these bacteria are using to create themselves a foodsource are entirely different from those used by their shallower-water counterparts or land organisms. This process has even given scientists new insights into the possible origin of life on earth.

once you reach Alsedo, stand between the two pillars in the middle of the town and press up, to reach the sky and talk to Queen Eleanora. Now return to the ground and speak to the blonde lady in the first house on the right once you reach the ground (there should be a fireplace in this house). once you have done that, keep going right into the cave and follow the path until you reach a split, you can go up or down. Go down and you should find the ocarina! Now assign it to a A left or A right, and go up to the first door. Press the assigned ocarina button on the music note pad, and it should ask you to play a tune:

Why are there 7 wonders of the world?
The Wonders of the Medieval and Modern World are not limited to seven, while the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World are. The number seven was chosen because the Ancient Greeks believed it to be the representation of perfection and plenty.
Why was the Colossus of Rhodes built?
