What is the value of a 1945 Chicago Cubs vs Detroit Tigers World Series program?

User Avatar
I COLLECT CUBS WS PROGRAMS. IF IN MINT CONDITION AND UNSCORED, $200-$250. A 1945 Detroit Tigers World Series program played at Briggs Stadium is worth about $225.-$350. in excellent - near/mint condition. A 1945 Chicago Cubs World Series program played at Wrigley Field is worth $150.-$200. As with all collectibles, condition is the most important factor of all providing that the item is authentic. With programs/scorecards the slightest flaws will bring the price down significantly. An exceptional mint condition scorecard could sell for more. Common flaws would be staining, foxing (yellowing), fading, creases, rips, loose pages, cracked binding, and writing on the cover. Un-scored programs will generally sell at a higher price than a scored program but sometimes it doesn't effect the value. The over all condition, and how well the cover displays will. The value on a "scored" program as opposed to a un-scored program can vary depending on the game, and collectors preference. In general I would say an un-scored program will sell at a higher price. Some collectors do not mind scored programs. == ==

What is the value of a 1932 Cubs vs Yankees World Series program from a game at Wrigley Field?

User Avatar
A 1932 New York Yankees World Series program played at Yankee Stadium is worth about $750.-$1,250. in excellent - near/mint condition. A 1932 Chicago Cubs World Series program played at Wrigley Field is worth $700.-$1,000. The value on a "scored" program as opposed to a un-scored program can vary depending on the game, and collectors preference. In general I would say an un-scored program will sell at a higher price. Some collectors do not mind scored programs, or might prefer it scored. A game in note that might sell at a higher price "scored" would be Don Larsens perfect game in the World Series.

How many times have the San Francisco Giants wound up in the World Series?

User Avatar
The Giants have played in the World Series six times since moving from New York to San Francisco in time for the 1958 season. In 1962, they lost to the New York Yankees in seven games. In 1989, they lost to the Oakland Athletics in four games. In 2002, they lost to the then-Anaheim Angels in seven games. In 2010, the Giants finally won a world championship for the Bay Area, defeating the Texas Rangers in five games. They won their second world championship in three seasons by sweeping the Detroit Tigers in the 2012 World Series. Two years later, the Giants' appearance in the 110th World Series resulted in a seven-game victory over the Kansas City Royals of the American League. It was San Francisco's third world championship in five seasons.

Never.... They were in the series but lost to Chicago Whitesox in 2005 Maybe this is the real reason Karl Rove is returning to Texas to see if he can help a team with even a small possibility.

How much is a commemorative plate from the 1956 World Series Perfect Game between the Dodgers and the Yankees worth?

User Avatar
Assuming that it is not chipped or cracked, these plates sell in the price range of $100 - $125. I have seen them go on eBay for as little as $35 (in fact I have bought a couple of them on eBay for $35 - $45). I have also seen some dealers asking a lot more than $125, but when I have sold 3 or 4 over them over the past couple of years and I get between $100 - $125. Don Larsen's 1956 World Series Perfect Game Plate A limited edition plate was issued after the 1956 World Series commemorating the perfect game thrown by the New York Yankees Don Larsen. Game 5 played on October 8th 1956 against the Brooklyn Dodgers was the First, and only perfect game thrown in a World Series. There are three different variations of this plate. The 10 inch plate made by American inc. sells for about $75.-$150. in excellent - near/mint condition. I have seen a couple sell as high as $190. for more information and pictures visit the link below.

In the World Series what is the rule about pitchers batting for the National and American Leagues?

User Avatar
The rules regarding Pitchers batting in the World Series for the National League and the American League are the same as the rules during the Regular Season and Postseason games, teams that play in National Park ballparks have to have their Pitchers hit while teams that play in American League ballparks are allowed to use a designated hitter so that their Pitchers do not have to hit however if a Designated Hitter is moved to a fielding position then the team forfeits the use of their Designated Hitter for the rest of the current game and the Pitcher is placed into the lineup.
